Today’s FAO report shows the Ford Conservative govt cut planned spending on the childcare program by nearly $400 million. Instead of supporting parents & growing the economy, Ford is wasting $1 billion of our taxes to get booze in stores a year early. Mixed-up priorities. #onpoli
🧵@FordNation blames everything from immigrants to high interest rates for the fact housing starts here are DECLINING rather than rising to meet demand.
But it's Ontario governments' OWN policies that've been making it impossible to end the shortage.

Why isn't #onpoli's housing supply keeping up with housing need?
New expert report commissioned by my @EnviroDefence team:
Ontario governments' restrictions on mid-rise apartment buildings have been making it impossible to end the housing shortage.🧵👇

Conservatives wanting power will use Republican tactics to misrepresent the state of our economy! They are not to be trusted!
Why Canada's Economy Is Just Fine https://t.co/FvNGoc0DpP
Reading John Ivison’s piece from last Saturday on Britain’s decline, which he claims applies to Canada. No mention of Brexit. Nothing about the appalling UK Tory governments. Mentions in passing that Brit GDP per capita was higher than ours but is now lower
A longtime friend of mine has develop a serious, age-related, debilitating, prostate medical condition, one suffered by almost 1/3 of older men. @fordnation’s OHIP doesn’t cover the recommended treatment. Older men, however, can now buy beer at our Zehrs stores.
Doug “Tunnel Vision” Ford’s Ontario: lousy access to medical care, great access to beer.
Governing is about priorities.
It's amazing that Doug Ford thinks he can find $150 billion dollars to dig a tunnel but can't find enough to repair a roof at the Ontario Science Centre?
Just so I’m clear - the guy who went snowmobiling while a convoy and border blockades raged in his province wants someone to get off their ass and work?
The same guy that refused to give evidence to the emergencies act inquiry?
Do I have this correct?
When Liberal parties spend, we have mass outrage in the streets. Again, here is Ford basically lighting money on fire and… silence.
The hypocrisy is deafening though.
It’s bad enough @fordnation wasted $1B getting booze in the corner store one year earlier.
Now he is spending millions advertising his new website to help us find the booze.
It’s not booze that we need to find…
It’s a family doctor for the 2.5 million Ontarians that need one.
The conservative government has intentionally underfunded of our public system for so long that hallway healthcare is reaching the worst levels we've ever seen in Ontario.
Thanks, @Fordnation.

Every plan to mitigate and solve the climate crisis will be expensive and inconvenient.
But, doing nothing and having no plan will make our future far more expensive and deadly.
Killing a plan without fully presenting your new and better plan is just irresponsible politics,
We had the Stone Age, the Bronze Age, the Iron Age, and the Space Age. Now we are current living in the Lying Age. Where our political leaders, are trying to gaslight us, with lies and dishonest denial, and are trying to normalize this.

We took a deep dive into the PBO's carbon pricing modeling, and found: overestimated impacts, conflation of consumer and industrial pricing, and missed opportunities for clarity. A 🧵:

A common misconception of how global GHGs cause climate change. Emissions have no flags to the atmosphere. It is the cumulative impact of emissions from around the globe that is causing climate change. We choose as Canadians to join the global cause or not. It's simple as that.
