@ehmatthes I just saw that Crash Course has been updated and uses VSC in the 3rd edition! Are there any active @nostarch discount codes that a fellow CS teacher could use to update your amazing book?
@teachingpython@KellyPared@smtibor I’m “teacher-hopeful-nervous”…just saw that @Replit Teams for Education is now free? Am I dreaming? Is there some sort of wacky catch? Does this mean that my kiddos on Chromebooks finally have an awesome and free tool that we can use.
@tapbots I find myself in need of a clipboard manager to teach my students online and love your stuff, so I’m looking at @pastebot , but don’t want to spring if its going to be updated to a subscription model soon or if there’s an update around the corner.
@teachingpython Not sure if you’v mentioned it on the podcast, but @CodyeApp is a great app that allows you to share marked up code with students as an image, so that they can see the awesome extras of an IDE, but can’t easily copy the text and paste it.
@smtibor@replit@pycharm@Google Awesome. Thanks for the response. I’ve used @replit in the past. The podcast got me playing with Collab, which seems pretty awesome, and should allow me to use shareable links. Thanks again!
@smtibor Hey Sean. Jumping back into Python second semester. Main LMS is Canvas…any recommendations for an IDE or site (like Collab) that works nice with Canvas?
@kcase I blew it and registered for the @OmniFocus iOS tests too late. Is there any way I can start using the Mac version before the school year starts back up on Wednesday? OmniFocus has has been the key to a great year of teaching and the only way I stay sane!
@headspace my subscription ended and am hesitant to resubscribe knowing there is a educators discount program coming soon or being revised. $100 for the year or $400 for lifetime is huge when compared to $12 a year.
@steve_zanotti Hey dude, I found the mistake in your code, but you blocked me in the UCR Moodle, so I can’t send it to you. Sorry if I did something to offend you.
