@SteveOrmerod @FriendsUpperWye Totally agree. Manual sampling is inherently littered with potential errors...when you add them up you have a much higher level of uncertainty. Again based on a lot of experience...sadly we all take manual sampling at face value...we should take a VERY VERY big pinch of salt...

What we need to do is the same survey with a smaller rainfall. Just having a single Proteus installed would help poss d/s of Glasbury. Could try that for a few wks

Coliform data increased from Newbridge but rose quickest at Westbrook and then stabilised after mixing. Given its a small tributary there must have been a significant load to increase the levels in the river.

Just to let you know the Kayak & Proteus are going for another adventure on the Wye...to determine who's polluting what between Builth Wells and Hereford. As per the Avon/Thames trips all data will be live to track the Proteus location and readings. 2 weeks from now.
