@Precigenetics Label free real-time imaging /tracking of ferroptosis existed for years, so it's not first for humanity ,is it the spectral mapping that is proprietary?
You have absolutely no clue what you're talking do you? Targetting jak/stat , gsk -3 ,IL 17 , cells, and CAR- T with zero off target effects??
Take care @bryan_johnson , you've been systematically weakening your body on the pretext of optimisation, soon you'll hit the J curve, be safe.
Deeply saddened by the passing of veteran actor Shri Salim Kumar Ji. Over the course of a distinguished career, he made a mark with his versatility and memorable performances across a wide range of roles. My thoughts are with his family and countless admirers in this hour of grief. Om Shanti.
Every machine in a Hospital that diagnoses your body without cutting you open is based on a principle of Physics, discovered by a Physicist who had no interest in Medicine.
If you think the world doesn’t need Basic Science, or that somehow Science has failed you, think again.
Remembering Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Ji on his birth anniversary. He is remembered as a visionary who ignited young minds and inspired our nation to dream big. His life reminds us that humility and hard work are vital for success. May we continue to build the India he envisioned…an India that is strong, self-reliant and compassionate.
We have a forthcoming piece about biological metaphors. It's about how big various things (cells, organelles, etc.) would be if each water molecule was scaled up to the size of a grain of sand.
Here are 3 of our favorites (dozens still to come in the article later this month):
1. The largest human protein, titin, would be a floppy spring 3-4 mm in diameter. Coiled loosely, it would be about as long as a golden retriever end-to-end but could stretch out to the height of a double-garage door.
2. The cell is encased by a lipid membrane about the thickness of a thin porcelain tile (~5mm). A 2x2cm square of membrane (about the dimensions of a key from a desktop keyboard) contains around 2,000 lipids and 10-15 proteins.
3. A human eye would be an orb about 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) across, with a wall 0.5-1 kilometers thick. The cornea (the clear part at the front of the eye encompassing the pupil and iris) would be some 11 kilometers across. The retina (the “camera sensor” at the back of the eye) covers about three-quarters of the interior surface of the eye and would be made up of ten distinct layers of cells, each about 7-8 building stories tall.

Why does the naked mole rat have the longest lifespan and healthspan of any rodent, nearly 40 years?
A 30-year long mystery unraveled @ScienceMagazine today!
Its cGAS enzyme in cells has 4 missense mutations that upends its function, promoting DNA repair and suppressing inflammation

Here’s what’s going to happen in the longevity game. And no one’s going to like hearing it.
1. The Bryan Johnson pivot
Eventually Bryan Johnson will walk away from his extreme protocol and move to something sustainable. He’ll figure out that obsessive optimisation is making him weaker, not stronger.
2. The investor wake up
Right now billions are being thrown at longevity startups selling supplements, sleep gadgets and wearables. Eventually investors will realise longevity is not pills and graphs. It’s complex. It’s systemic. And when cell and gene therapy hit scale, the supplement heavy businesses will collapse.
3. The supplement crash
Five to six years from now, a wave of people will be dealing with liver and pancreatic damage from years of high dose, contaminated supplements. Heavy metals. Impurities. Chronic overload. Regulators will finally step in. And the public will learn the hard way: biomarker optimisation is not optimal health.
The future of longevity won’t be built on hacks.
It will be built on cellular repair, gene editing and complete systemic balance.
