The paradox of SF; a place that promotes contrarians yet produces conformists
Most startups work on the same things, everybody is an agent
Most launch videos have the same format, two guys one MacBook
Most landing pages look the same, some literally copy each other
Most do the same marketing, everybody has a billboard or an ad on a bus
Most founders sound the same, take a shot when you hear "first-principles" or "orthogonal"
Most VCs fund the same things, how can I find the next big hit that looks like the last big hit that I missed
@TheZvi I’m jealous of your ability to shift modes. I just got back from a 2-weeker and the whole first week I was just brain dumping everything I hadn’t had time to think about during normal work (maybe I need to revisit my routines hah!)
@patrickc Working on the real-time + snapshotting part -> Context Sync Protocol: https://t.co/wwo559arkO
* Rust SDK
* P2P realtime sync of files between devices
* Point in time rollback
* Snapshotting
* Git compatible
* Ported to Obsidian Plugin
My take on why all the AI browsers flopped: browsers are designed for people. Agents don't do well navigating clunky UIs. They thrive in their native habitat, the CLI.
I think we'll see "AI clients" take off instead: Chat <> Markdown <> CLI Sandboxes <> ACP.
