They left home as boys 8 decades ago to go out and save the world. Last night they sat at the WWII Memorial together and celebrated their country's 250th. Still heroic.
We may have lost Spencer Pratt as the Mayor of LA, but we gained an insanely powerful national voice to help save America from a communist takeover.
They motivated him when they slowly destroyed LA.
They radicalized him when they burned down his home.
And they made a lifelong enemy when they stole his election.
I am at a loss.
Today, as many celebrated America's 250th Independence Day or “Freedom 250” I found it difficult to celebrate.
My husband served this country for more than 20 years. He nearly gave his life in combat. Yet today, despite receiving a pardon, he still carries the burden of being a convicted felon because of his peaceful presence at the Capitol on January 6.
The personal losses are too many to count. Years that can never be returned, financial hardship, damaged reputations, strained relationships, missed milestones, emotional pain, and the weight our family continues to carry every single day.
What hurts almost as much is the silence. I have reached out for help, even to people who wore the same uniform and are now in positions to make a difference, and too often there is no response.
That is heartbreaking.
Freedom is precious because it is fragile. When government power is misused, ordinary Americans can feel the consequences in deeply personal ways. Whatever your political views, due process, equal justice, and constitutional rights should matter to all of us.
I still believe this country is worth fighting for. I only hope more people are willing to stand up when it matters.

@TheAliceSmith I read the Declaration of Independence out loud today with heartfelt conviction.
It is a work not just of genius, but also of a purity of soul that resonates to this very day.
President Trump just brought out Iwo Jima survivor Marine Corporal Don Graves to salute the flag that was heroically raised by U.S. Marines over Iwo Jima.
My great honor to campaign for him in 1976 and 1980 and serve 8 years in the administration. He rejected detente and sought to destroy the Soviet Union, which he did, as he pushed communism out of much of our hemisphere. He inherited a mess from Carter.
@the_magic_m@RobertDinTulsa@FBI This is NOT an error. This is demonstrably a pattern of deliberate miscategorization. Protecting illegals, blacks, native Americans while demonizing whites seems to be a sport. Stop pretending this isn't happening. Look at the PROOF @RobertDinTulsa shows everyday.
