Looking for a postdoc? We are recruiting scientists who are finishing their PhD to study how metabolism shapes cancer progression, immunity, and therapeutic resistance. Recent highlight: our Nature paper on αKG https://t.co/IHCXNuq6u0. Learn more at https://t.co/wI5ptrsTVr.
📢 We are hiring!
My lab is looking for a postdoctoral researcher. If you are excited about understanding cholesterol transport between the endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondria, membrane biology, lipid metabolism, or super-resolution imaging, please apply by June 30th!
In a paper just published in @sciencemagazine, we teamed up with @teichlab to construct the most detailed atlas to date of hormone production and action in humans at cellular resolution. (1/8)

A late update on our recent pub that AgRP neurons do not contribute to DIO or GLP-1R agonism based weight reduction but essential for body temp during nutrient insufficiency, echoing @jflier's earlier finding that leptin is rather a fasting hormone: https://t.co/8txoGMZw4V
The 2026-2027 AGA Research Awards cycle is OPEN 🎉 Our Pilot & Specialty Awards are now accepting applications, including:

When we discovered irisin in 2012 (Bostrom et al), we described its actions in terms of the browning of the white fat and anti-diabetic effects. Here, in collaboration with the Mathis lab, we re-examine this in mechanistic detail. https://t.co/qDVrwgiGuM
GLP-1 receptor agonists are increasingly used to treat type 2 diabetes and obesity, and trials have shown reductions in cardiovascular risk and slowing of kidney failure. Adverse events are mostly gastrointestinal.

Today in @Nature, the @ChristophThaiss & @MaayanLevyPhD labs trace age-related memory loss to the gastrointestinal tract & map the complete gut-to-brain pathway driving it. Targeting this pathway can reverse cognitive aging in mice.
