How Somaliland became a member of the United Nations before Somalia became indpendent ?

On June 26, 1960, the United Kingdom granted independence to the State of Somaliland. To mark this event, the two governments signed several bilateral agreements. These treaties—covering independence, public service, and financial matters—were subsequently deposited with the United Nations under Article 102 of the UN Charter
The bilateral agreements and treaties signed between the State of Somaliland and the United Kingdom were deposited and registered at the United Nations under Article 102 of the UN Charter immediately following Somaliland's independence on June 26, 1960.Under Article 102, every treaty and international agreement entered into by any Member of the United Nations must be registered with the Secretariat as soon as possible. Because Somaliland was internationally recognized as a sovereign state by 35 nations—including the UK, the US, and all five permanent members of the UN Security Council—upon its independence on June 26, 1960, these treaties were officially deposited during that timeframe
In the context of the United Nations Treaty Series (UNTS), Nos. 5348, 5349, and 5350 refer to a series of bilateral agreements signed between the independent government of Somaliland and the United Kingdom on June 26, 1960, marking the end of British Somaliland and laying the groundwork for Somaliland's independence.They are officially published in UNTS Volume 374 and include:UNTS No. 5348: An Agreement regarding interim arrangements in respect of the Somaliland Scouts, which outlined defense cooperation and the status of local military forces during the transition to independence.UNTS No. 5349: An Exchange of Letters on Independence establishing that if Somalia (then unifying with Somaliland) entered into agreements transferring jurisdiction of the territory, it would stipulate the obligations for other governments.UNTS No. 5350: An agreement concerning the operations of the East African Currency Board, laying out the financial and economic parameters following independence

Four lies about Somaliland-Israel recognition.

The recent mutual recognition between Somaliland and Israel has triggered numerous false accusations and outright lies levied against Somaliland by some Arab and Muslim governments and media outlets. To clear the air from this foul propaganda, here are some of these blatant lies:

Lie number one

The claim that Somaliland and Israel’s mutual diplomatic recognition involves the forced removal of Palestinians from Gaza to Somaliland.
Both Somaliland’s and Israel’s highest officials have made it clear that there is nothing in their agreement that suggests Palestinians will be moved from Gaza to Somaliland.

Lie number two

The interpretation of the Abraham Accords as religious ones, when in fact they are purely political arrangements whose purpose was to normalize relations between Israel and Arab countries, and were given that name to honor Prophet Ibrahim,revered by both Arab Muslims and Jews but the accords establish no religion,doctrine or tbeological framework.
This lie proposes that the Abraham Accords create a new Abrahamic religion, when in fact there is no single shred of evidence that supports such an idea, and none of the Arab countries (Morocco, Bahrain, UAE, Sudan) who joined the Abraham Accords have changed their religion in any way.

Lie number three

The claim that once Israelis set foot in Somaliland, they will gradually increase their number and presence and eventually take over Somaliland.
This is pure conjecture, a scare tactic, and a malicious reading of the future designed to undermine the Somaliland-Israel mutual diplomatic recognition.

Lie number four

The claim that Somaliland, by recognizing Israel, has recognized a pariah state that is not diplomatically recognized by any other country.
In fact, Israel is diplomatically recognized by 163 of the 192 United Nations member states, including Arab and Muslim countries. Moreover, even Saudi Arabia has opened its airspace to Israeli flights, and the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman,has stated that his country wants to join the Abraham Accords.
