This is absolutely ridiculous @MMRDAOfficial@MMMOCL_Official waterfall every few mtrs below Line 4 while drain pipes remain Dry. Amazed that even @mybmc who shud be objecting to it for damaging their roads turns a blind eye. Pathetic to say the least. @AshwiniBhide@Dev_Fadnavis

@RailwaySeva@RailMinIndia RailOne never works for Tatkal booking. I have raised multiple complaints, none have been addressed. Attached screenshot to show the replies I receive from your team. Tatkal booking crashes in the first 5 mins, and magically seats are full in 15 mins!
Their names were Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta.
They were from Madhya Pradesh. They worked in Pune.
On the night of May 19 2024 they were riding a motorcycle in Kalyani Nagar when a Porsche Taycan hit them at high speed. Both died.
The driver was 17 years old. His name was Vedant Agarwal. His father Vishal Agarwal is one of Pune’s wealthiest builders.
He had spent the evening at a restaurant in Koregaon Park celebrating his Class 12 board exam results.
The restaurant served the group of minors alcohol until midnight. He paid Rs 48,000 for the drinks using his grandfather’s credit card.
He was drunk when he got behind the wheel of an unregistered Porsche worth over Rs 2.4 crore.
The initial order from a juvenile court asked him to write a 300 word essay on road accidents.
The country was furious.
His father Vishal Agarwal was arrested for attempting to obstruct justice.
His grandfather and two doctors were arrested for allegedly attempting to swap the juvenile’s blood sample at a hospital to conceal evidence of alcohol consumption.
The restaurant that served alcohol to minors was investigated. Police officers who handled the initial case were suspended.
The juvenile was eventually sent to a remand home.
Vishal Agarwal spent 22 months in jail before the Supreme Court granted him bail in March 2026.
Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta were cremated in Madhya Pradesh.
Their families are still waiting for the trial to conclude.
A 17 year old in an unregistered luxury car killed two working people on a night out.
His family spent months trying to make it go away.
Repost this. Some stories must not be allowed to disappear.
🚨 Nearly 50 IAS and IPS officers reportedly bought ~5 acres of land near Bhopal in 2022 for around ₹5.5 crore.
Then came a ₹3,200 crore bypass project barely 500 metres away.
Then the land use changed from agricultural to residential.
Now the same land is reportedly valued at ₹55–65 crore.
This is exactly why people lose faith in the system.
Politicians at least face elections every few years. But bureaucrats remain embedded inside the system for decades, regardless of which party comes or goes. The real permanent power structure in India is not political. It is bureaucratic.
And if even a fraction of this is true, imagine the scale of the rot that never gets exposed.
India talks about becoming a superpower. But no nation becomes a superpower when insider networks, influence and administrative privilege become tools for wealth creation.
The PM speaks of transformation. But the biggest obstacle to India’s rise may not be outside the country. It may be inside the system itself.
Dear Prime Minister @narendramodi ,
After your advise to stop using cars, Today I decided to walk to my office and sharing some realities with you.
Citizens are not addicted to cars. Most people would happily avoid taking their cars out if cities simply offered three things properly; safe footpaths, protected cycling tracks, and dependable Metro connectivity.
Give us these three basics and I can confidently say private car usage will reduce massively on its own.
But today, the reality is different. Cities like Pune, where public transport demand is exploding, still struggle with incomplete and delayed infrastructure, while Metro projects are inaugurated in places where the urgency and density are comparatively lower like Bhopal or Nagpur for political advantage. Footpaths are encroached upon or broken by your own goons or electric dept. Cycling tracks exist mostly for presentations, events, and photo opportunities instead of daily commuting.
Then citizens are lectured about reducing car usage.
Sir, roads in India are still unsafe for pedestrians and cyclists. Asking people to give up cars without first guaranteeing safety is unfair. A middle class citizen choosing a car today is not choosing luxury; he is choosing survival and, predictability.
If you truly want us to adopt public transport and sustainable mobility, then please first make walking and cycling safe, and then focus on public transport reliable enough that citizens choose it willingly rather than being morally pressured into it.
A man died when a Metro slab collapsed in Mulund. MMRDA promised ZERO tolerance. Heads would roll.
Months later, the consultant it blamed & threatened to fire is still on the project.
The explanation? It was all a "misunderstanding."

Frankly, People of Mumbai will be just way more Happy if they get Good roads & Footpaths. Why waste Public funds on a gate which hardly anyone notices, I mean How would you look up if you are trying to save yourself from that pothole.
This has been happening over the past 3-4 months. I have raised it with customer care, but the tickets have been closed without any resolution or have been asked to get in touch with IRCTC. Please resolve it. And the wait time on the right, the time is frozen at 5.12 for 7 mins!
@amofficialCRIS@RailOneIndia@RailMinIndia The booking flow on the RailOne app at the time of reservation (8.00 am) is terrible. The payment page always hangs, money is debited, ticket is not booked and on the portal, seats have gone into the waitlist.
@mid_day Today I have counted over 40 such side-wall & pillar of metro4, that looks misaligned, cracks, big gaps, bend, etc
All between Mulund Check-Naka & Bhandup Sonapur Jn.
I request complete blockage of this LBS Road for Public, Traffic. Do inspection of every inch of metro4.
To,
The Prime Minister’s Office,
All Chief Ministers,
And All Responsible Authorities of India.
I am writing this open letter with deep pain and anger. Again and again, our country faces terrible incidents where innocent people lose their lives. Bridges collapse, roads are full of dangerous potholes, trains meet accidents, fires break out, and public places become unsafe. Every time, families are destroyed in seconds.
These are not just accidents. Many times, these tragedies happen because of government failure, poor maintenance, corruption, and negligence. When safety is ignored, people pay the price with their lives.
What hurts even more is what happens after. Authorities give speeches, promise inquiries, and then hand over a small compensation of 2 lakh or 5 lakh. This is not justice. This is an insult to the families who have lost their loved ones forever.
How can a human life be valued so cheaply?
The government has huge funds. Thousands of crores are spent on advertisements, and marketing. But when a citizen dies because of unsafe roads, weak bridges, or railway failures, the family is given only a few lakhs. This feels like humiliation, not support.
I request you strongly to understand that money can never replace a life. But proper compensation is necessary to show accountability and seriousness. If a death happens due to government responsibility, compensation should be at least 1 to 2 crores. Only then will the system feel the weight of its failure.
Along with this, we need real action. Officials and contractors responsible must be punished. Safety audits must be honest. Public money must be used for protection, not publicity.
Indian citizens are not numbers. They are not files to be closed with small cheques. The first duty of any government is to protect its people. When it fails, it must take full responsibility.
This letter is written with respect, but also with firmness. The people of India deserve safety, dignity, and justice.
Respectfully,
Nalini Unagar
You know what is the most frustrating part of this 17 year-old minor ramming his SUV on a couple is?
Policing these stunt-brats isn’t hard. Their entire lives and crimes are on #Instagram. The reels are public, the locations are geotagged, and the views are in the millions. @MumbaiPolice, why wait for a tragedy to act? Impound vehicles based on digital evidence before they ram into a family.
In this case, the husband is dead and wife is critical.
The minor is granted bail by Juvenile Justice Board for board exams. His father is arrested.
If a minor is matured enough to manage a viral social media presence and a high-speed SUV, he is matured enough to be tried as an adult.
We saw this script in #Pune; we’re seeing it again in Vidyavihar.
Past experience shows the minor will get away and will not be tried as an adult.
I have little hope 😡😭
@ShivAroor
@mulund_info@MMMOCL_Official@MMRDAOfficial Yes, I am petrified. If the slab had fallen 20 secs later, I would have been under the slab. What happened was unavoidable and tragic.
A larger tragedy was averted simply because the vehicles were waiting at the red signal. Or those affected would have been much higher!
A complete safety audit of the entire Mulund-Bhandup stretch is needed.
It's visible to anyone walking below that the slabs are not fixed properly. It was discussed amongst the locals, and finally the worst happened!
@rajtoday@zoru75@mulund_info@MMRDAOfficial@mihirkotecha
@MMRDAOfficial This type of gap is seen along the entire Mulund-Bhandup stretch. Does this mean that it has not been secured properly?A security audit is definitely required. Or remove this and put railings?Raising a safety concern. So kindly do not send notices!
