The Coalition for Green Capital got billions of U.S. taxpayer money from the @EPA by representing that it had "the people, the immediate and longer-term pipelines of investment opportunities in qualified projects, and the programs” to meet the objectives of the #GGRF. Now we've learned that it instead moved billions to four Wall Street firms and away from government oversight.

As a reminder, this is the same nonprofit that has paid a lobbying firm almost a million dollars through the first half of 2026. Where did that money come from and who are they lobbying?

'GOLD BARS' UPDATE:

Turns out the Biden-era program that was handing out billions to politically-connected non profits allowed a grantee to change its game plan three days before Trump returned to office.

The effect? $2.65 billion went to four Wall Street-managed funds. The Trump @EPA told @HeartlanderNews that by blessing the changes, the Biden admin let the grantee circumvent statutory limitations and flipped the program's deployment model "on its head."

Where is the money now? Your guess is as good as the federal government's.

In January 2025, one of these grantees sent Canadian private equity firm @Brookfield $450 million in taxpayer money.

Even more incredible: in January 2025 @MarkJCarney ran Brookfield’s “sustainable finance and transition investment” strategy. How much did the future Canadian prime minister and anti-Trump agitator profit off of US taxpayer money?!

This was money that was ostensibly intended for poor communities who lacked access to capital. Instead it went to Wall Street bankers, who lack for nothing!
