My heart grieves for the souls lost in the senseless war in Ethiopia over the past few years. We yearn for peace, but it remains elusive as long as those in power, guided by flawed ideologies, persist in their positions.
@solassefa Could you please share the recipe? It looks rustic and delicious. I had no idea rye is available in Ethiopia. I’ve been making homemade bread with Panasonic bread maker for the past 11 years, but the rye paddle that came with it has been sitting idle all this time.
Today we have set out how we’re building AI to accelerate science and improve people’s lives. Just some examples in the last week or so:
- Mapped all 9B possible single letter genetic changes across the human genome with AlphaGenome Atlas and made it openly available to researchers.
- Billions of decisions depend on weather predictions so we introduced WeatherNext 3, our most accurate and capable global weather AI model to date.
- We published AI & Economy ATLAS, a comprehensive open-access look at how people are using AI globally.
- AI has enabled extraordinary advances in language translation. Today our services are available in nearly 300 languages, spoken by 7B people
We’re focusing our efforts on four key areas: health, natural disaster and weather resilience, learning, and economic opportunity. https://t.co/DDKcUTYj54
@claudeai Hey @AnthropicAI, why is Claude still unavailable in #Ethiopia? 🇪🇹 Gemini and ChatGPT work fine, and I can even use Claude models inside Google’s Antigravity, so why no native access to https://t.co/UBedpF4Xi4? We need the full experience!
‘The Thinking Game’ documentary has just passed 200M views on YouTube in just 4 weeks! 🤯Perfect holiday viewing if you’re interested in a behind-the-scenes look at how an AGI lab works, or what goes into making a Nobel Prize winning project like AlphaFold happen.🧬🚀
@USEmbassyAddis Many overlook the key term 'reciprocal' here. Ethiopia had long limited U.S. nationals to short, single-entry visas. As promised during his campaign, Trump matched that policy. It may not benefit Ethiopians, but it reflects his push for reciprocity
"It is time for the authorities to stop using arbitrary detention as a tool of repression”. @TigereChagutah in our statement on mass arbitrary detentions in Ethiopia's Amhara region. Read more here:

This is Gibson School around 24 in Addis Ababa. It's baffling how it received a license considering the deplorable state of the pre-KG classrooms. The classrooms lacks proper ventilation; one of the classrooms even doesn't have a window. This place feels more like a prison.
@gdb ChatGPT has allowed me to quickly satisfy my curiosity and learn various things. It has helped me become a better writer, programmer, analyst, and scientist without needing to travel and learn from others abroad. Thank you!
@AbiyAhmedAli's actions have led to two devastating conflicts in the 5 yrs since he assumed power. A third is brewing with #Eritrea. Enough of this madness that's turning #Ethiopia into a land of suffering. The Nobel Committee must rescind his Peace Prize. https://t.co/CIJhNRu5Bw
Our only hope is to have continued discussion & dialogue and resolve our issues through peaceful & civil manner. To all who have suffered, lost loved ones, & continue to bear the burden of conflict, know that you are not forgotten. My thoughts & deepest condolences are with you.
