What is the purpose of higher education in the age of AI?
I had a very candid conversation with my students about pedagogy, universities, and what needs to change.
Sharing it here to hear what others think. The link for the full talk is in the first reply.
On Sunday, @JensenHuang said, “AGI has arrived.”
For the Fortune 500, the next question is whether an AI agent can get a badge at your company.
The winners won’t just have the smartest models. They’ll know what an agent may do, when it must stop, and who owns the consequences.
That is sanctioned intelligence.

Just saw @bhatnaturally Ji's post on Ekadashi, where he makes a strong case in defense of fasting. When people mock Ekadashi but praise identical practices under names like Intermittent Fasting/Biohacking/Circadian Rhythm Fasting, it highlights a double standard.
In 2016, scientist Yoshinori Ohsumi won the Nobel Prize in Medicine for discovering how autophagy works. When we stop eating for a certain period, our body runs out of external energy. Instead of starving, it starts a cleanup process. It hunts down & destroys old, damaged cells, misfolded proteins & viruses, recycling them for energy.
Fasting 2x a month on Ekadashi acts as a regular, systematic reset button for our cells, essentially detoxifying the body naturally.
Now the question arises: Why specifically the 11th lunar day & not the 4th/5th/7th/any other day?
The word Ekadashi means “eleventh,” referring to the 11th tithi (lunar day) in the waxing/waning lunar fortnight. Traditional Vedic astronomy observes that this day corresponds to a specific angular relationship (~120-132 degrees) b/w the Sun, Moon & Earth. Just as the Moon’s gravity creates ocean tides, it exerts a very small but measurable influence on Earth’s atmosphere & by extension, on the fluids in our bodies (which are ~60% water).
Fasting/eating very light food (like fruits) during this time reduces the water retention & bloating in the body, lowering blood pressure & reducing stress on the digestive system & brain.
Also, our digestive tract uses a massive amount of our body's daily energy. Continuous eating means our stomach, liver & intestines never get a break. A bi-monthly fast gives the metabolic system a rest. This improves insulin sensitivity & allows the gut lining to repair itself, which boosts overall immunity.
These ancient practices are not just arbitrary rituals/illiterate superstitions, they align perfectly with modern biology.
@AnujKum82046422 Who cares.... We work for incentives that people without Bharatiya Samskaras don't understand.

Indus corpus is 100% translated.
Some observations:
1. Grammatically correct Sanskrit throughout.
2. Consistent themes. A huge percentage (approx 90% relate to Rudra. Other gods like Indra and Vishnu are mentioned by their other names).
3. Rare missing anusvara, visarga as in later Brahmi inscriptions
4. Almost all inscriptions are R>L. Very few are L>R, most of L>R have the directional marker.
5. There is only one word रल in only one inscription M-1701 that is not officially in the dictionary. Related words do exist in the dictionary.
All in all, the translation effort has been a spectacular success and validates the decipherment.
I'd like to give a shoutout to all who have helped with the website, Sanskrit grammar, many suggestions. Especially thanks to the early critics, who tried to falsify my work. Your work improved the decipherment because my direction was generally right. The list of people to acknowledge is very long and impractical to list here.
Now enjoy!

Hoping the Google map colors are just an experiment. Darker blue contrast against other grays negates any benefit. Older yellow (road) vs blue (rte) vs gray (alt routes) were easier to spot. Now every route looks a shade of gray. Alt rte-s are indistinguishable. @googlemaps
"Whats the best..." will elicit "several best" answers that defeats the question.. A better way to frame is "Do I want Honey? Or am I satisfied with HFCS?" :-)
