@friendschurches When I was a child, the yew tree in the churchyard of our ancient village church blew down. A wood turner from West Wales took away the trunk then returned with apples and pears made from the yew tree and villagers bought them. We still have one. I love the continuity of it.
@oldandrewuk “You should have a spare set of professional clothing in your room”. I rolled my eyes but-I kid you not-a few months later I had a bizarre clothing malfunction on the way to work and had to wear a borrowed, ill fitting jacket with no shirt all day
Looking for recommendations for a digital programme for fluency practice for upper elementary/primary students, that records and tracks wpm for a small group in a whole class setting. 🙏🏻

@GWRHelp Hi,
My train is still listed as normal in the tracker but separately there are delays between Cardiff and Bristol Parkway, then closure between Bristol Parkway and Swindon. What time will the 10:23 arrive at Paddington? I have a flight to catch.
@GWRHelp Hi, i’m getting the 10:25 from Swansea to Paddington then Heathrow Express tomorrow. It looks like all Swansea-Paddington trains are cancelled today. How can I track the likelihood of them being running tomorrow? Is there a replacement service?
@provokedpedago1 @spinningoutaday Also I think schools would decide to assume that x amount of work should be completed in the agreed hours and teachers who cannot do this are just inefficient?
@DoctorChrisVT Just finished the book; was gripped throughout. One theme I am interested in is the connection between the rise of UPF and obesity with the change in working patterns. Who bears the load in preparing better food?
@MrBoothY6 We are learning about puberty in Y6 so I just gave them the because/but/so routine with ‘Puberty can be challenging…’ . It yielded lots of good thinking.
