Valuebase is hiring! We build property valuation models for state and local governments. We’re looking to bring on two or three engineers.
First, we’re looking for an experienced frontend dev who can be the product owner for the web visualizer that serves as the primary way our customers interact with our valuation models. Next.js + React. This person needs to be able to work with little oversight, needs to be a confident developer and also should be comfortable scoping out the roadmap for the web app.
Second, we’re looking for one or two experienced engineers to work on our valuation pipeline. The codebase is a Python-based data pipeline which cleans customer data and prepares it for ML modeling. We are looking for people who are going to be able to quickly ramp up and actually run customer modeling alongside improving the pipeline so we can scale with our growing customer base.
Seed-stage, eight employees, fully remote. DM us if the above sounds interesting.
🚀 ValueBase is hiring paid interns! We’re looking for smart, driven people who can get things done for both technical & non-technical roles.
Be part of an innovative team transforming property valuation for governments.

Watch this to see how to start using it:
Accurate land value assessment is a critical "missing technology" of the 2020s.
@getvaluebase expands the capability set for policymakers who want to experiment w/ Georgist-style land value taxes to ensure AGI windfalls benefit everyone, rather than simply accruing to holders of scarce real assets (e.g. land) via increased rents.
Congrats, @willdjarvis and @larsiusprime!
We are thrilled for Valuebase to be featured on @beondeck’s Top Companies of 2024. On Deck was essential to the founding of Valuebase.
We’ve been growing rapidly over the last 1.5 years and are currently hiring!
We are beyond excited to work with this incredible team with Colin joining the board as they work to democratize critical data in real estate. ValueBase, co-founded by Will Jarvis and Lars Doucet, is building the technology that allows constituents to make informed decisions with true transparency in this critical asset class as cities like Detroit begin to apply creativity and out-of-box thinking to their tax policy. If you get excited about new takes on old economic ideologies, check out Lars' book Land is a Big Deal - summarizing and modernizing the work of 19th century American political economist Henry George. Congrats again to the team and to our co-investors Sam Altman, Nat Friedman, Mythos Ventures and Julian Weisser. - let's go! https://t.co/roxpMZT51i @larsiusprime@willdjarvis@getvaluebase@NaryaVC
"Instead of driving more innovation and growth, the bounty from today’s knowledge economy is instead diverted into rising land costs... The result is that working- and middle-class Americans are forced to devote ever-larger shares of their hard-earned money for shelter. The central contradiction of capitalism today is that a huge share of its productive surplus ends up being plowed back into dirt."
