@WhineAndDivine@ThoughtfulSaint@Faustzme This is hilarious. All Christian denominations have there own interpretations of what they think the Bible says and they only believe in what agrees with that interpretation.
@JosephAlbrigo@ThoughtfulSaint@CapturingChrist This is a terrible take. You're starting with the presupposition that Joseph was unrepentant and Evil. And you're using that as an excuse to not look at the context and historical facts of Joseph Smith's life and character. That is extremely intellectually dishonest.
@Hail_Winter@ThisName2211@ThoughtfulSaint Can you define what a cult is and what lies specifically? Because believing something is a lie or not true is just a statement If you don't actually have anything To substantiate the claim.
@Hail_Winter@ThoughtfulSaint Because she lies and distorts the truth and rewrites her own experiences and history. This is often what anti people do when they are retelling their experiences that happened years ago or even sometimes recently they leave out key context and misrepresent.
@rwfastje@ThoughtfulSaint Quite the opposite my friend. The meaning of fruits can be a few things. First it can be the changes that you see in your own life or the life of your loved ones because they are applying gospel principles. Another form of fruit Is evidences like The Book of Mormon.
@DiscipleFidei@ThoughtfulSaint Our Doctrine is not hard to find and it is also plain and simple and found all over the biblical text. I would invite you to actually visit our church on Sunday with a Latter-Day Saint you know.
@badtothebone124@ThoughtfulSaint What are you talking about? Jacob did use scriptures in the debate, he just didn't use it to try to win the argument because you'd run into the issue of interpretation. That's why in a debate the most coherent and logical argument wins. Jacob had and used both.
@stevengthatcher@HwsEleutheroi I think there's a time and place for it. I think its best to highlight and focus on good doctrine that brings us closer to God. Likewise I think it's important to also understand and expose bad doctrines by cutting right to the logical conclusion of Calvinism.
@RykerJackson97@ThoughtfulSaint Jacob tends to debate using logic. He follows the logical implications of Calvinism. Most Christians that are calvinist don't actually logically think through their theology. I understand that doing so is uncomfortable because you actually have to face the logical conclusion.
@GoWithJordan_@Mormonger@Lets_Talk_HC@ApologiaStudios@PastorNinja The reason why you're not giving any examples is because you don't actually have any. You just don't like his arguments because you know you can't adequately defend them when pressed which would not make you guys look good which is exactly why you don't engage.
@GoWithJordan_@Lets_Talk_HC@Mormonger@ApologiaStudios@PastorNinja You guys are full of it. You guys are trying to hide behind some vague assertions that @Lets_Talk_HC engages in bad faith arguments or bad behavior. But you're not actually giving receipts/ examples of said behavior or a specific bad faith arguments.
@DiscipleFidei@ThoughtfulSaint@GodLogic_GL What are you talking about? He literally introduced the God head model. Also you must not be familiar with formal debates. Jacob is a master at staying focused on the prompt. Going in-depth on the God head would take to much of his limited time.
