★ Great read! – "Honey, AI Shrunk the Archive"
Jon's argument for machinic metaphors for AI is a much needed point in discourse @jonippolito .
→ "When we describe AI systems as 'thinking' or 'understanding', we risk attributing emotions, intentions, and consciousness to systems that are no less mechanistic than a dishwasher."
→ Focussing on how theses systems are built helps to describe how these machines process information – especially in contrast to human 'understanding', a contrast I address in many of my own works like "Is it ME or a misunderstanding".

“Marriage, then, is not only a ritual of union but also a stage for emotional dissonance and technical readings that politicize the gesture.”

★★ I Can’t Find Silence (0.0a)
★★ Today 18:00 CET on @objktcom
→ I am happy to show 10 audiovisual 🔊 pieces forming one larger composition presented with @xor_space.
→ A short thread.
→ The idea of dissolving into my surroundings has followed me since a young age. I try to do this by observing closely, almost like meditating – overcoming myself in the process. This has likely shaped my artistic research practice. → With new technologies, new approaches emerge. What if I am merely a dynamic pattern, open to dissolving and merging with everything? (1/6)
Making kin with machines: What if we used AI not to mirror ourselves, but to dissolve the boundaries of the self? Could this open toward a new understanding of identity?
