@neurosurgery@jalbright22 What makes you think lawmakers want competition and lower costs? They just want to do what the hospital lobby $ tells them to do
@JArthroplasty Unfortunately it appears the goal is to give all the $ to hospitals and further consolidate healthcare. They'll lower reimbursements for total joints until all physicians are employed by hospital systems. The hospital lobby says so.
@RepGregMurphy On this point you're actually correct congressman. Make the "non profits" (ceo makes millions) pay taxes, enact site neutral payments, get rid of CON laws. Level the playing field and give physicians a chance. Increase competition -> decrease costs
@RepGregMurphy I can't believe you're a doctor. So out of touch. The system you and your lobby buddies are reinforcing is crushing physicians. But I guess you wouldn't know since you also gave up practicing medicine
@cannibalstocks@AbelAmos Is this accurate? If the deal closes 1 valaris warrant = 15 shares of $rig? That seems weird, rn 1 val warrant = $14.76, but 15 shares of rig is worth $95
@RepJasonSmith@jldobrinsky Of course they said no. We have monopolies of hospital systems all over the country buying up cheaper independent physician practices and charging higher fees and facility fees where there were none before. Independent physicians are getting killed, cost and access going up
