Condemnations against the manhandling of peacefully protesting
#SakshiMalik and other Wrestling Olympians and World Championship at the #WrestlersProtest against sexual harassment by Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, Wrestling Federation Chairman and BJP MP.

The champions who unfurled the India’s tricolour flag at world championship have been treated without any dignity and respect. It is a disgrace that the government has neither responded to the protest nor to their decision of the champions immersing their medals river water.

In solidarity with #WrestlersProtest, I demand the immediate removal of Singh from his post as Chairman of WFI and MP and lawful action against Singh.

Unwavering solidarity with Ambedkarite Student Leader @sabarigrajan

Ms. Sabari Girija Rajan, the President of ASA (Ambedkarite Students Association) at the University of Hyderabad (UoH), along with her family, is currently being subjected to harassment and targeted by a criminal gang driven by casteist motives in Enadimangalam - Pathanamthitta District, Kerala.

These individuals are attempting to forcibly displace them from their land through threats and intimidation. They have also illegally cut and stolen valuable trees from her property. Additionally, the President and Secretary of Enadimangalam Grama Panchayat (both affiliated with CPIM) are also implicated in these caste-based criminal activities.

In February of the same year, the ASA-SFI alliance achieved a significant victory against the hate politics of ABVP and assumed power at UoH. This triumph holds historical significance as it occurred under the auspices of ASA, the same organization that tragically witnessed the suicide of Rohit Vemula, a victim of caste-based atrocities. Ms. Sabari played a pivotal role in forming a broad coalition here that greatly contributed to this electoral success.

Even though these upper caste CPIM leaders of Kerala will never consider the Dalit community as their allies, and these upper castes cannot even accept Dalits living near their abode. That is the reason behind the violence Sabari and her family are facing. This raises concerns about the magnitude of atrocities that ordinary Dalits encounter on a daily basis in Kerala.

Sabari's family has already filed a complaint with the area DySP, but the police have not taken any action yet. Past experiences have shown that @TheKeralaPolice often fail to effectively address cases of atrocities against SC/ST communities and tend to protect the accused instead. Consequently, Kerala has a high incidence of violence against Dalit and Adivasi communities.

Yesterday, Sabari's younger sister and brother held a press conference to address the ongoing harassment their family is enduring, demanding action and seeking justice for their cause.

I urge @SPC_Kerala to remain vigilant in this situation and take prompt and exemplary action against these casteist criminals to ensure justice for Ms. Sabari and her family. The state police have the responsibility to prevent this hate...!

Before or after demonetization, the bahujan’s concerns were about livelihoods and survival, while the Brahmins, upper castes talk about freedoms and nationalism. Whose ‘liberty’ was Yechury concerned about back then, a few months ago?

[AFRICAN & BLACK HISTORY @AfricanArchives]

Mahatma Gandhi the Racist. While living in South Africa, Mahatma Gandhi described black Africans as “savage,” “raw” and living a life of indolence and nakedness.

•He routinely expressed "disdain for Africans," and he also campaigned relentlessly to prove to the British rulers that the Indian community in South Africa was superior to native black Africans.

•One of the first battles Gandhi fought after coming to South Africa was over the separate entrances for whites and blacks at the Durban post office.

•Gandhi obiected that Indians were "classed with the natives of South Africa," who he called the kaffirs, and demanded a separate entrance for Indians.

•In a petition letter in 1895, Gandhi also expressed concern that a lower legal standing for Indians would result in degenerating "so much so that from their civilised habits, they would be degraded to the habits of the aboriginal Natives, and a generation hence, between the progeny of the Indians and the Natives, there will be very little difference in habits, and customs and thought."
