@RGinghina Hi Raina! I also enjoyed the group assignment we did! We created a lesson in our desired subject areas and our goal was to include a variety of backgrounds and cultures into the activity. Thanks for tweeting! #03Sp22#EDUC200
@briiannaa31 hi! the video was super interesting and we had a great class discussion about how we can use his techniques in our future classrooms. it is important to us since we will most likely run into a situation where we need to accommodate a students specific needs. #EDUC200#03Sp22
@Emma95393099 I thought yesterdays class was super interesting! I struggled with the difference between analyze and apply but once we started sharing examples it became more clear! The Goldilocks activity was super fun and I hope to do more stuff like that in the future! #03Sp22#EDUC200
@GraceMirabello Hi Grace! I found yesterdays lesson extremely interesting! Curriculum is such a big thing in our future careers. In high school, I was in choir and often times felt as if sports and such were more funded then us. I hope one day students will get to equally experience both!
@Baileyjmu2025 In this class we talked about tracking. It is a difficult topic that can lead to more controversial issues however, it is important that us, as future teachers, be aware of these issues. #educ200#03Sp22
Yesterday, we learned about APA citations and how to create them. This is important to us as future teachers because it’s the form of citations we will frequently use. In our groups we practiced writing citations using a quote, name, year, and page number. #03Sp22#EDUC200
Today we learned more about history of the American schools. We talked especially about social meliorism which is the school era we are currently in. We had a great discussion on whether our school fit into this era. I wonder if there will be more in the future! #EDUC200#03Sp22
@AbbieHogan25 Hi Abby! I thought Wednesdays lesson was super interesting! The history of education is something I have never learned or was introduced to in K-12 school! I’m also in this picture in the JMU sweatshirt haha!
@sarcarr427 Hi Sarah! The differences between mens and women's safety is and will always be a topic of interest for me as a women. In my group, we talked a lot about how peoples wrong perceptions of others affect their daily lives. I hope one day we can all coincide together peacefully.
@AmberJa48698670 HI! I think this is a good example of clarity because the teacher has a very clear structure of the way her classroom runs. This should clear up a lot of confusion students have when they enter 9th grade! I enjoyed this article thank you for posting! #EDUC200#03Sp22
@EmilyLinck1 Hi! Everyone uses Amazon! Because everyone uses amazon, we know that Amazon and the work the employees do is super meaningful to everyone everyday. All of us have needed something in a pinch and have used Amazon and I am thankful for the meaningful resources they provide!
As future teachers, it is important we are aware of the values our school district holds. In Seminole County in Florida, teachers are treated extremely well and are provided resources to treat their physical and mental wellbeing. (continued in thread)
SCPS is also showing dependability because they are providing very helpful resources employees can depend on outside of their teaching or admin career. As future teachers it is important we do our research on the values our district holds! Article is attached on new thread
Yesterday learned about Maslow’s pyramid which is a theory of what motivates people. We then discussed examples of how schools use this pyramid to meet students needs. We discussed physiological needs, food and sleep which is provided during lunch and nap time. #EDUC200#03Sp22
