With ₹927 crore being spent on providing breakfast and milk to students in government schools, Revanth Reddy’s government is making a substantial investment in the health, education and future of Telangana’s children. At the heart of this commitment is a simple but important understanding: a child’s ability to learn depends as much on their nourishment and well-being as it does on the education they receive.

The early findings from Kodangal tell a remarkable story. A survey conducted across 60 schools has recorded a 13% increase in enrolment, improved attendance alongside encouraging improvements in students’ overall well-being.

What is particularly heartening is the change in how children experience school itself. They are more eager to attend, showing greater energy, concentration and participation in their classrooms. Parents are reassured and teachers are seeing tangible improvements.

Did that make YSR Garu a failed politician? Absolutely not. After 21 years, he became Congress Chief Minister.
