@ShakiraRHobbs@Momademia Others without the same constraints also tend to not see them. This whole thing was driven home for me during the pandemic- there were just things I *could not* do at that time. I do the very best I can and I let go of the rest.

It was so crucial when I was a new PI to know that I could trust my colleagues to fairly (if critically at times) review my work with the goal of making it better, not out of competition or to play games. I look forward to carrying on the tradition of looking after our jr folks.
Another giant thank you to the greater cilia/centrosome biology community! It’s been such a welcoming and supportive scientific community going back to when I was a trainee 15+ years ago.
@mbeisen This is actually a very popular home size in my city (Durham, NC)- 1000-1200 sq foot houses. Problem is they go for ~400k here, and we are far from the most expensive market. Some neighborhoods they are 500-600k. So you already need a 6 figure income to afford it.
In vivo BioID targeting neuronal cilia started out as a fanciful idea shortly after starting my lab. I'm so glad there were these talented people around who actually made it work!
