Is death the only solution we have for every conflict?
A leopard was beaten to death in Duliajan, Assam, after an unfortunate encounter during Holi. While a human life was at risk, we have to ask: why does the buck always stop with the animals carcass?
The media is quick to report the attack, but where is the questioning of the authorities?
1. The Reality of Encroachment: We are the ones moving into their homes, destroying their corridors, and leaving them with no choice but to enter ours.
2. Institutional Failure: Locals claim they've been reporting sightings for months. Why were no traps set? Why was there no rapid response team?
3. Hypocrisy: We celebrate the festival of colors while painting the streets with the blood of our wildlife.
If we keep encroaching on every inch of forest for development, these incidents arent accidents, they are the inevitable result of our own greed and administrative negligence.
When will we stop blaming the displaced and start holding the Forest Department and government accountable for failing both humans and animals?

@Krish5324@JahnaviIyer Do you have shame?
So called humans are deforesting their habitat and interfering with their lives. They're forced to kill no animal who wants to see a human especially wild animals.
The situation at the forest department nursery in Vadgaon Sawtal, Ahilyanagar, is a heartbreak that cannot be ignored. For over three months, 21 leopards have been confined to cramped, suffocating cages.
These majestic animals are in a dying state. Due to the extreme heat, foul smells, and constant congestion, they are hitting the bars in distress, causing themselves further injury. Two leopards have already died, and another is currently fading away.
Our heritage teaches us "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" the world is one family. This sacred philosophy does not just apply to humans; it encompasses every living soul. When we imprison these creatures in such inhumane conditions, we are failing our role as guardians of this global family. To ignore their suffering is to ignore a part of ourselves.
The Reality on the Ground:
3 Months of imprisonment in nursery cages.
Zero Movement due to cramped, inadequate spacing.
Rising Temperatures making hot cages a death trap.
These leopards deserve dignity and relocation to a proper facility, not a slow death in a cage.
We cannot stay silent while our wildlife is treated with such neglect. We call upon the authorities to intervene immediately before more lives are lost.
