NEW IN PIRATE WIRES: American immigrants don’t assimilate anymore. They don’t even think they should — because America stopped asking them to.

This is a problem. Look around.

In June, illegal immigrants waved Mexican flags over burning cars. A Minneapolis mayoral hopeful calls Somalia “our home.” An Illinois congresswoman declares “I am a proud Guatemalan before I am American,” and Dearborn Heights, MI, just unveiled an Arabic police patch (before walking it back).

This country doesn’t work without assimilation. Integration isn’t optional — it’s the entire premise of America. Forget it, and we stop being a nation at all. You could argue we’re already there.

The left thinks there’s nothing to assimilate into, that this country is little more than stolen land papered over with oppression, and “American values” are defined only by our sins — slavery, segregation, injustice. The right has its own issues. There, a growing faction thinks what makes you American is whiteness and birthplace. Both are wrong.

When you step onto American soil, you’re being offered a rare ticket. America offers you the freedom to be anyone, to do anything, to compete in the top percentile of the world.

That gift carries a debt. You owe her something in return. You owe her assimilation.

Rainmaker just produced ~19M gallons of water in Alaska via next-gen cloud seeding over 3 hours of operations.

We are the first company to provably produce precipitation in Alaska. As promised, we’ve linked our white paper and relevant data.

In the future, Rainmaker will protect and restore glaciers with man-made snowfall.

Immediately, this demonstration shows how Rainmaker will add new water to the Colorado River and Great Salt Lake in the coming months.

We turned around this analysis and white paper just a couple days after operating. There are many data sources I want to deepen our understanding of the atmosphere and increase our provable production; we’re building the instruments to collect that data in subsequent operations. But at Rainmaker, we won’t tout LOIs, simulations, or lab tests. What matters is physically measuring that you’ve affected the atmosphere; proving that we’ve produced water. We prefer sharing only the tech that has proven to make more water for farms, industries, and ecosystems in need.

Expect a regular cadence of these from us as we build the best atmospheric science lab in the world. Feedback is welcome in the interim.

Valar Atomics CEO @isaiah_p_taylor says he doesn't need a technical edge to win.

"We want this reactor to be as simple as possible. If we could just staple this thing together from Ikea, then this would be a trillion-dollar company much faster."
