How do these cuts make sense?
The LCRP needs higher investments to improve the outcomes of patients living with this severely underfunded and stigmatized disease.

@US_FDA 🇺🇸approved osimertinib for adult patients with stage III non-small cell #LungCancer #NSCLC 🫁that is locally advanced and unresectable, specifically for those whose tumors have EGFR exon 19 deletions or exon 21 L858R mutations🧬

This approval applies to patients whose disease has not progressed following platinum-based chemoradiation therapy.

The approval was based on the LAURA trial, which showed osimertinib significantly improved progression-free survival (PFS) compared to placebo, with a median PFS of 39.1 months versus 5.6 months.

ADRIATIC 🌊 shows an improvement in median OS from 33.4 to 55.9 months w/ consolidation durvalumab after CRT! 🙌
Interesting to note LS-SCLC is enriched for the inflamed subtype. Looking forward to trials tailoring treatment to specific subtypes.
