You can see these comments highlighted in the attached screenshots. This is a clear MCC violation. I strongly condemn this behavior.

He made his friend wear a burqa and took photos with him, later posting them on his status and social media stories while referring to him as “Haseena.”

@DgpKarnataka This act is highly disrespectful and has insulted the Muslim community, especially Muslim women, in a shameless manner. Such disrespect toward the religious rights of Muslim women is unacceptable. I demand that Immediate strict legal proceedings be initiated in this matter.

@IgpBelagavi It is extremely necessary that individuals with such hatred-filled minds be put behind bars. Legal action against such persons is imperative; otherwise, there will be no check on their mindset or psychological disposition. Such behavior and conduct are highly harmful and can pose a serious threat to the very fabric of society.

@CMofKarnataka @HMOKarnataka Here you can clearly see how yesterday, on 15/03/2026 at around 4:15 PM in Ilkal, during the Shivaji Maharaj procession, @DgpKarnataka the procession stopped in front of Madina Masjid in the market area Ilkal and carried out provocative actions, deliberately attempting to disturb the peace of Ilkal. These actions were intended to hurt the religious sentiments of the Muslim community and deliberately disrupt communal harmony.

@IgpBelagavi how do these individuals have the courage to act this way even in the presence of the police? Has the police department failed in taking preventive action? I await your response to this serious question.

@SpBagalkote The procession was carried out under Hindu Seva Trust (R), Ilkal. I also appeal that the responsible members of the trust be questioned, as they appear to have attempted to ignore the conditions set by the police department.

@DgpKarnataka It is deeply concerning that even though the alleged stone-pelting incident has not yet been proven, inflammatory and hateful remarks were publicly made during the Holi festival. Such Dialogues have the potential to provoke the crowd present there and may disturb the communal harmony of Bagalkot.

@IgpBelagavi People were allegedly instigated by saying words to the effect that “We are living on our own land and stones will be thrown at us, and will we just leave them like that?” Such remarks can incite emotions and create unnecessary tension among communities.

On 21/02/2026, Hindu Jagrana Vedike Ilkal organized a protest regarding the alleged stone pelting during the Shivaji Maharaj procession in Bagalkot. However, during this protest, members of the Muslim community were openly abused, and the Police Department was aggressively questioned about its responsibilities.

Speakers went to the extent of saying that if the police remained silent at that time, others should have taken over the role of the police department. Such statements were clearly provocative and amounted to hate speech.

@DgpKarnataka The serious question is: Can anyone replace the Police Department? Is it acceptable to insult a constitutional institution in this manner? By making such irresponsible statements, are they not undermining the importance of the Constitution?

@DrParameshwara @masaleemips Cadres of SDPI, a national political party, were abused and false allegations were made against them. If this protest was merely a scripted conspiracy aimed at creating Hindu-Muslim tension and disturbing communal harmony, will no action be taken against it?

@siddaramaiah Are there no laws against hate speech? Observing this situation, it appears that while these individuals speak about the Constitution, they have no intention of following it. @SpBagalkote Is it not necessary to arrest those who deliver such inflammatory speeches in order to maintain law and order? Why this apparent weakness in taking action?

The public demands that, after identifying those responsible, judicial proceedings be initiated against them so that they do not again disregard the Constitution and cross their limits in such a reckless manner.

Today, the Kshatriya Maratha Samaj of Mudhol and the Federation of Hindu Organizations organized a massive protest in Mudhol town condemning the unfortunate incident that took place during the procession held on February 19 in Bagalkot city on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The protest was held at Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Circle, Mudhol.

@DgpKarnataka During this protest, some individuals allegedly used abusive language against Muslims and openly challenged members of the Muslim community by saying, “If you have courage, come one-to-one,” and made provocative statements such as “This is a Hindu Rashtra.”

@SpBagalkote I appeal to the Superintendent of Police, Bagalkot, to take immediate action. Targeting and insulting a particular community is a serious matter that can disturb communal harmony. I request that those responsible be identified and arrested for attempting to incite hatred and for disrespecting the Muslim community.

@DrParameshwara What exactly is happening in Bagalkot? What is the police administration doing to prevent such incidents? I strongly demand strict legal action against anyone involved in provoking communal tension.

The Bagalkot Police have arrested those individuals who were involved in violence on 20/02/2026 at around 12:30 PM in the name of Hindu–Muslim tensions.

I sincerely appeal that the strictest legal action be taken against these offenders so that such incidents never happen again in a peaceful city like Bagalkot.

There were reportedly others who were also involved in this violence. What action has been taken against them, @SpBagalkote SP Bagalkot? When will they be arrested? This is a question from the people of Bagalkot.

A thorough investigation must be conducted, and anyone found guilty should be given strict punishment according to the law.
