AI engineer. CO-founder @hyperank_ai, helping brands get cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI. Daily breakdowns of open-source AI tools worth your time.
@tejashwa Curious how you're measuring it. Is the new domain actually getting named in ChatGPT or Perplexity answers, or are you seeing citations first? Those two can move at really different speeds.
@naitiikjha The part about results varying by engine is the one people skip. One prompt on one engine tells you very little, so we compare the same buyer questions across several and see who gets named. The free AI brand visibility checker at @hyperank_ai is a quick first look.
@TheCoolestCool Worth splitting out the AI crawlers in that 65%, they decide if you get cited. Plenty of sites block GPTBot or PerplexityBot in robots.txt without knowing. The free AI bot crawler checker at @hyperank_ai tests 14 of them. Does Radar split training bots from live answer fetches?
@sAyEEdXP Clicks are the part you can see in analytics, but plenty of people read the answer, remember the name and search it later. That shows up as direct or branded traffic, never as an AI referral. Are you seeing that on your side, or just the click numbers?
@dylandgtl The Q&A bit is the one I'd add to. Those same answers and the description are often what ChatGPT pulls when someone asks for a good place near them. Do you ever ask it about your own area and see who comes up?
Clients tend to believe a live check more than a stat. Ask ChatGPT their buying question without their name and see who it names. The free AI Brand Visibility Checker at @hyperank_ai does it in about twenty seconds. Beats arguing about it.
Agencies & resellers: the line I keep hearing from clients is "we rank on Google, so we're fine in AI."
4 AI engines picked the same top local business in only 4% of cases (via @Yext Research).
That's the opening for an AI visibility audit, not a reason to skip one.
@danielashburn Two separate scoreboards, then. The ad can say one thing while the organic answer names a rival. Have you seen a brand check both side by side yet?
@jasondavisseo Makes sense when the pages are already indexed. The industry sites are usually what AI pulls from too. To see if it worked, ask ChatGPT the owner's buying question without their name. The free AI Brand Visibility Checker at @hyperank_ai does that for you.
@HitLambaAI@hyperank_ai A separate list for new questions is a neat trick. Promote one into the main set only when you plan to keep tracking it, and the trend stays clean.
Cafes order stock from gut feel and last year's spreadsheet. Too much spoils. Too little leaves empty shelves.
Mistral's Timestral is a free forecasting model that runs on a CPU, 10 ms to 140 ms per forecast. Needs someone who can run a Python script. No app yet.
@hasomemarketing Entity consistency is my bet too. When a brand is described three different ways across its site, directories and reviews, the AI answer tends to blur or skip it. Which do clients skip more, the entity cleanup or Reddit?
@_JHoff The TV ad comparison fits. Nobody judges a spot on clicks, they ask if people remember the brand. For AI answers that's whether you get named when a buyer asks. We made a free ChatGPT visibility checker at @hyperank_ai that shows exactly that, and who gets named instead.
@SEOKeval Doubling it in a category like CBD is no small thing. Curious if the collection pages that moved in Google are also the ones ChatGPT pulls when someone asks for a gift pick in that niche, or if those turn out to be two different sets of pages.
@RamizN04 4 sessions and 1 WhatsApp contact is a better ratio than most channels. GA4 also tends to undercount AI, since copied links and in-app clicks land in direct. Do you ever ask ChatGPT the question a patient would and see which clinics it names?
@CyrusShepard Point 3 makes sense to me. The shortlist forms in the AI answer, then people finish with a branded Google search, so the AI step never shows up as a click. Whether you're named in that answer is the measurable part, we track it across 6 engines at @hyperank_ai.
@semrush That matches what I'd guess. Comparison and review queries tend to lean on G2, Reddit and roundup pages, broader category ones on brand pages. Ranking the domains behind your answers is the part we built at @hyperank_ai. Which topic would you check first?
@okShipIt Monthly is a solid floor. One thing I'd add: AI answers run extra searches behind each prompt, so a fixed list can miss the side questions your page gets pulled in for. We have a free query fan-out generator at @hyperank_ai that turns one keyword into that cluster.
@vinzbuilds@bot Product pages is a good sign. Plain specs and prices on the page are easy for it to quote. Did you change anything for that, or is it just how the Shopify theme laid the pages out?
@HitLambaAI@hyperank_ai No clean split on my side either. My guess is Perplexity moves first since it searches live, but that's a guess, not something I've measured. Do you keep a fixed prompt set per client, or let the questions change?
