How disgraceful that the @PADeptofEd@PDESecretary celebrates the cutting of funding to 65,000 public school students. The @PASenateGOP should block her confirmation. This is not how the state's education leader should behave.
@subtoasted@RepSchweyer The @PaHouseDems are only using the @PAAuditorGen for political gain. On any other issue they would chide and cast him aside. The auditor general fell right into their trap.
Today is the day that the @PaHouseDems, led by @RepMaryIsaacson, @RepSchweyer, @RepCiresi, and @RepProbst, will vote against 65,000 public school students and families. They are silencing students and families and telling them they don't care of about their educational choice.
.@GovernorShapiro, does this mean that 65,000 public cyber students will succeed by cutting their funding and eliminating their schools? Is that what you mean by succeed? #HB1500 harms students.
412, or 83%, of PA school districts have 20% or more of their spending set aside in reserves. That means with all the massive increases in state funding and the higher taxes paid by property owners, school districts keep shoveling money into their savings accounts. #savecybers
@Dads4EdExcel@JackSkyrunner@PSBA@PasaSupts@pasbo_org We would posit that cyber charters are more accountable: parents can leave if they're not happy with the programs. Enough families leave = the cyber closes. Not with SDs; taxpayers lose their homes to keep those bureaucracies afloat.
