@mumumouse2 original image may have labels for peaks and curves, which they have tried removing using PPT most likely. Could just be avoiding trouble (extra work) of finding files and replotting (standard practise if lazy), or copying someone’s published work and making it theirs.

@payaljs @srigsri23 @mnwsth I won’t say it to be completely useless. Say you publish many papers, your affiliation email etc changes and the one in your papers become outdated. People can track you with your orcid id. Also, it is a unique id so no confusion for databases.
