@prudnikova_liz I think that’s well said. First questions, keeping in mind that in the end. You are the teacher, but you’re aware of the fact that maybe the problem is you! Great self awareness and questioning of the situation.

@prudnikova_liz I agree. I think for personal use, your own pictures are your responsibility but I would be more at ease if students used avatars. shoot maybe we could do a “background knowledge” project where students use the picture from something they’re really interested in! #EdTechChatWSUV

@MrHamiltonWSUV I think that’s an important distinction. Returning continuously! It’s not just a one time lesson learned but something reinforced. If it’s repeated, more likely than not it will sink in! Great point, Jordan.

@Mr_Blystone Flipping that classroom seems to be a great use of technology for scientific concepts that are best learned by watching multiple video examples and then working out the problems in groups in the classroom! Saves time and is maybe less stress inducing for the kids #EdTechChatWSUV

@mikedteacher I agree! It’s an easy concept for kids to get, and it makes our lives a WHOLE lot easier if we use it intentionally to collect easy to see data. It can be simple or it can be more complex and still wonderful! #EdTechChatWSUV

@GryphonsPBL How did Blippar work for you? Can you download the app and make your own augmented pictures? I was looking into it, but the app seems like it’s used only to view augmented things and not to create them #EdTechChatWSUV

@KevinUyesugi Kevin I think this is a great point. It’s easy to get caught up in the tech, but many of our kids might not have the necessary background knowledge to be successful with something really tech heavy! Great point #EdTechChatWSUV

@prudnikova_liz Q8:Q9 I think model building or VR systems would be useful for kinesthetic learners to be able to orient themselves in a learning space. I wonder if the ability to be able to place oneself w/in the context of content is really what that kind of learning needs? #EdTechChatWSUV

@MrsMcCoy19 We did this in one of my college course where we had to come up with questions we would be tested on in once section of the quiz. It was pretty handy since you really had to think about the difficulty and if you yourself could answer it

@Mr_Blystone @prudnikova_liz so I think I would want to have daily class collab for small activities to help students get used to working together to facilitate and larger term project and explicitly walk through learning certain groups skills to make the big project easier!

@prudnikova_liz Q7:A7 I think creating a student-made resource library of khan academy style videos would be helpful for a classroom to collab on. Over the course of the yr, different lessons would mean different vids & then they would be saved for future Ss use too #EdTechChatWSUV

@randireed889 @eun5124 @MrsMcCoy19 It’s covered on most major world news. The paper came out Tuesday explaining a new common feature found in human body tissue that we didn’t realize was actually a bigger structure! Pretty neat
