I know we will continue to be a church that brings dignity and peace however brief to as many people as possible - but it hurts knowing the church building that has been such a strong foundation for us and the broader community will never be the same

Still can't believe it.
Faith Lutheran Church has connected me to those around me during my 8 years Cambridge. And it's been doing the same for different generations for over 100 years.
100% of Stripe's Ruby codebase, which is the largest single Ruby codebase in the world, is now autoformatted with Rubyfmt. We'll be upstreaming the changes we made soon. I'm very excited.

Here is a collection of video responses after journalists and news hosts asked Senators:
“Do you think nonwhite people can vote as easily as nonwhite people?”
A thread:
Graph (by credible source; prefers anonymity) vividly shows value of vaccines for both individuals & states, since 7/1.
Note: a) 3 Bay Area counties (SF, Contra Costa, Alameda) at R; b) FL as outlier (could be OK vax but low masks [or >65s]); c) as vax goes 75%→50%, deaths⬆4x.
@patrickc Not quite the study you're looking for, but this study seems to be narrowing in on specific levels of protection that various nAb titers confer - so in that case I guess it would be closer to a binary variable across individuals https://t.co/qMiHJ5lPcT

@crowdeats_io@scottconnerly@cdixon Agree that this is intriguing!
Does the staking/slashing align with incentives of good reviews though? I’m not sure why I would want to stake tokens that my opinion of a review agrees with the rest of the reviewers. Especially if I lose real money by being in the minority.
@crowdeats_io @iamleonmallett @cdixon@xloubellxx But I just want to use the best product out there - if I want to own the company (i.e. twitter), I’ll just go buy some shares.
Even then, I’m not going to be evangelizing twitter - I’m just going to hope that the product continues to improve and my investment is more valuable.

1) Data from January excludes most of the infections in kids. Since schools were closed, spread was much less. From that chart only included 64k infected.
2) you can’t make a broad assumption about myocarditis risk for kids w/ vaccines. Dose is 3x less than adults
@michaelzlin But 100% agree that the term shouldn’t be co-opted by anti-vaxxers.
Feels reminiscent “natural immunity” as being sold as the superior way of training your immune system. As if the immune system responding to the vaccine isn’t also natural
@michaelzlin From what I remember herd immunity was a popular talking point post-vaxx but pre-delta. And with the crazy vaxx efficacy we were seeing it felt doable.
With 📉 vaxx efficacy and 📈 R_o for delta, still not sure the community as a whole has settled on what the end goal is
