It’s time for receipts in American healthcare.
We talk a lot about affordability and price transparency, but there’s a simple step we could take right now that would change everything.

Doctors and hospitals submit detailed billing files. Insurers respond with detailed payment files. Yet none of this is visible to the public. Patients can’t see what’s charged, what’s paid, or where the money actually goes.

Transparency means showing the bills and the receipts.
We need a national searchable database of 835 and 837 files for true transparency in healthcare.

Share this with your members of Congress and let them know we all want to see where the money is actually going.

Making 835 and 837 files publicly available for all private insurers, not just Medicare, would be revolutionary.

If affordability is truly the goal, start here.
