@Ronnie_Shitheel @autumnpard In many many cultures in the past fair skin was considered most beautiful. Monica Belucci is a swarthy Italian so she probably would not have been considered a great beauty in those times.
@mek_ju@ChuckRocha What are you talking about? One, you can get a potato egg and cheese taco at f’ing Whataburger. And two, potatoes are native to the new world.
@gengisK46756428@yhdistyminen I think it was the Episcopal Church in retaliation for Bishop Budde asking him to be merciful to immigrants and trans people. The admin has targeted every religious org that welcomes the immigrant though, including Catholic Charities
@DanielH87145164@KennyTorrella Completely untrue too. If livestock farming went away tomorrow there would still be millions of wild pigs out there. Not to mention pig relatives like the javelina.
@dpjanes@jameszimmermann Not to mention those who spend 8-10 hours cleaning hotel rooms, caring for small children/elderly, welding on oil rigs or re-shingling roofs
@LorenzoStroe@DrDominicNg You can also see more men at the bottom as well (around 85). It just means that in this sample men’s spatial intelligence was more broadly distributed across the bell curve whereas women’s were more concentrated at the mean.
@hananofantasy @nypost In the article it said she announced a pregnancy last year but there was no birth announcement, so I wonder if she suffered a miscarriage. So sad, may she rest in peace.

Yes, this is fascism.
For years, historians and experts were cautious about using the f-word to describe today's events. But that hesitation is gone now. 🧵
@EvanHoffman@Noahpinion Both teams are the “you can have fun but only the way I like to have fun” team. Neither side has room for both the Pride parade and the Indy 500.
@litninglikeafox@Shameof3121@DrewPavlou Have you considered that you depend on those animals for your food and medicine supply? I’m a fan of abundance-yimby stuff and it need not be at odds with protecting the natural world.
@surlygopher@mattyglesias As a wildlife conservation person, I like the abundance stuff because it 1) encourages urban density which reduces habitat destruction and 2) tackles climate change via clean energy production. Those are two of the biggest drivers in species extinction
