Memory is what allows Claude to learn from experience. In a new Engineering Blog post, we share how “dreaming” helps Claude organize what it’s learned, correct its mistakes, and find what it needs more easily the next time. https://t.co/uUEN4bNkr9
interpretability might be the most important scientific problem in the world right now, as I don't think we can solve alignment if we don't know what we're building. I think I have good news about it. I co-authored early work in mechanistic interpretability at OpenAI and came away pessimistic, because neural networks appeared to fold into arbitrary tangled knots. years later, I started openai's first large-scale automated interpretability project, finding about 2% of neurons legible with the primitive tools we had
with modern agentic tools and a much closer look, the picture looks totally different. the vast majority in models up to trillions of parameters are legible, and their circuits beautiful. many famous examples of tangled neurons turned out to be misunderstood. The roadblocks I expected mostly aren't there. I now think ambitious interpretability will be solved by the time we need it most, and possibly quite soon, as automated scientists keep improving. it may be a bitter lesson for interpretability: the simple thing, at absurd scale, works

openrouter for models made model choice a routing decision.
openrouter for tools makes vendor choice a routing decision.
^ that’s going to be uncomfortable for a lot of seat-based SaaS
We just raised $7.7M to kill every subscription for agents.
Introducing https://t.co/uBBT6t7hyZ, the openrouter for agent tools.
Your agents can now:
> discover, run, and pay for tools at runtime
> use 2,500 APIs through one connection: leads, SEO, marketing, search, ecommerce, stocks, video/image/music/3D gen, agent email & phone
> pay per call, 0 subscriptions
Important note regarding Grok @Bot:
Going forward, @SpaceX will use the best back end model for any given task, including Claude Opus 5.5, MidJourney, Suno and other leading APIs.
Whatever is most likely to give you the best outcome.
very bullish -> OAuth for agents. service providers finally get a standard way to know when it’s an agent and who it’s acting for
not HMI anymore – agent machine interface? curious how providers rework the interaction once they can tell
Today, we're open-sourcing the Personal Agent Consent & Trust Protocol (PACT), co-developed by @Instinct. We're also joining the Personal Agent Protocol working group by @Muse.
Built on A2A and OAuth, PACT enables businesses to verify who a personal agent is acting for and what the customer has authorized it to do.
Excited to shape the industry standard for how personal agents will interact with businesses.
time based moat is no longer real
Jev (Sep 15) -> Clef (Oct 1) -> OpenAI Decisions (Oct 6)
2 years in stealth. 3 weeks later the category has an open-weight clone and an OpenAI endpoint.
Let your app choose the right model, tool, or action in near real-time with Decisions API, now available to all developers in public beta.
The Decisions API makes decisions up to 10x faster than GPT-6 Luna through the Responses API.
@adithya_s_k Very interesting ^ curious how this grows by piping real arrival and weather streams in so the sim can stress-test plans against live (instead of historical) traffic
