More and More Humanoid Robots Are Entering Wet Labs๐งช
Beijing DeepCybo has announced that its wheeled humanoid robot, Prime, is now operating in Junjie Liuโs Lab at Tsinghua University(life sciences research)
Prime is already handling experimental tasks such as pipetting, operating shakers and stirrers, as well as repetitive work like keeping lab benches tidy and organizing equipment.
The ultimate aim is to free scientists from dangerous virus experiments so they can focus on genuine scientific research. Humanoid robots are poised to become skilled lab technicians.
Notably, Prime is powered by DeepCyboโs PhysBrain foundational large model, the STARRY VLA model, and the Z-WM world model, with its dexterous hands provided by Wuji Hand.
We are starting to collaborate with humanoid robots.
Just wrapped up an unforgettable two-week robotics marathon across China, and I still canโt quite believe itโs over.
Every single day of the trip and even now looking back, I was overwhelmed with gratitude for this incredible privilege. I love this robotics/AI world, and this journey reminded me exactly why.
Gaining access to 18 of Chinaโs top humanoid robotics companies in such a short time felt almost surreal. It was a rare and special experience.
None of it would have happened without the amazing people who made it possible. Huge thanks to @TheHumanoidHub, @XRoboHub, our interpreter Winnie and everyone else who opened doors, shared insights, and supported us along the way. You made this trip truly beautiful.
Iโve long been fascinated by Chinaโs robotics ecosystem and always wanted to visit someday. Everyone I spoke with in the US and elsewhere kept saying โIf youโre serious about this field you have to see China.โ
Spending two intense weeks on the ground, visiting different cities and meeting brilliant founders and engineers was deeply inspiring. I loved every moment of it.
It all started earlier this year in SF. @TheHumanoidHub and I kept crossing paths, diving deep into robotics conversations and I knew he was planning this journey. When he turned to me and asked โWant to come?โ I said yes immediately and booked my ticket the same day. Future me is still thanking past me for that decision.
The trip was wonderfully intense and ridiculously fun. Iโll never forget sharing takeout pizza in taxis while racing to the next company, passionately talking about the future of robotics the whole way. Those moments were pure joy.
Thereโs so much I saw, felt, and learned. Before the memories fade Iโll be sharing more of it here. And yes โ we have more content coming so stay tuned๐๐ค
In talks with a lot of robotics founders, researchers, and professors recently.
I've noticed a clear shift: More and more people are preparing to start companies.
It feels like robotics is entering a phase where ideas will flourish, startups will multiply.
And while consolidation is inevitable, the long-term outlook has never looked more exciting.
Humanoid robotics pioneer @agilityrobotics is going public via a $2.5B SPAC merger with Churchill Capital Corp XI.
Trading under ticker AGLT, the deal delivers over $600M in gross proceeds, including a $200M PIPE led by Foxconn.
Huge milestone as the first standalone Western humanoid pure-play hits the public market. ๐ค๐
๐ MM-Hand 1.0 Tech Report released: a 21-DoF multi-modal modular dexterous robotic hand with remote tendon-driven actuation.
Motors are relocated outside the hand, freeing space for tactile sensors, joint encoders, in-palm stereo vision, and maintainable modular fingers.
MM-Hand achieves 25N fingertip force through 1m tendon-sheath transmission and supports closed-loop joint control for dexterous manipulation research.

ELON MUSK: โOur next product is Blindsight, which will enable those who have total loss of vision, including if they've lost their eyes or the optic nerve, or maybe have never seen even blind from birth, to be able to see again.โ
Chinaโs first robot-assisted home cleaning service
X-Square Robot has partnered with 58[dot]com to bring cleaning robots into consumer homes.
58[dot]com is often referred to as "China's Craigslist".
Human workers collaborate with the robots: humans take care of the more complex tasks, while robots handle repetitive chores like tidying spaces or wiping surfaces.
X-Square Robotโs WALL-A system unifies perception, decision-making, and action into an end-to-end AI foundation model. Real-world experience from the pilot program will be valuable in helping the AI improve and learn to perform more tasks.
@XSquareRobot is backed by tech giants like ByteDance and Alibaba.
The crazy part is that Optimus will cost less than this ~$40K autonomous floor scrubber while having unlimited use cases.
Humanoid robots will transform everything.
