Today's attack on @myetherwallet (via BGP hijack of AWS name servers) proves beyond doubt that everyone should implement DNSSEC and HSTS asap!
DNSSEC = resolvers would deny fake records
HSTS = browsers would prevent users burning themselves from self-signed certs.
@manxlab You should start with domain name, like everything in life. How about "https://t.co/YfOktXWZ1V" or "https://t.co/1rcd9tCHbG"? If you pivot and rename before next round, there might be .agent TLD available (I heard there's going to be an application next icann expansion round).
@mediocreDevops@judenkereuwem@Raspberry_Pi Not directly, but I can imagine you could program the Linux system to emulate being a USB keyboard (by connecting to the other computer in the USB gadget mode).
Interested in how to host Infinite Git Repos on @Cloudflare? ⛅️
At Gitlip we’ve accomplished this using
- Cloudflare Workers
- Durable Objects
- @libgit2
- @nixos_org
- WebAssembly
- @emscripten
and now we’ve written about how we did it.
After almost 6 years with @Cloudflare I am finally going to meet IRL, for the first time, with some of the members of my team in San Francisco next week. It feels great. Helping to build a #BetterInternet is not just a slogan, but what we are doing every day. A better Internet for my children and their children.
Being able to give back to the community and to serve almost 20% of the global Internet traffic is no small treat. And we’re all invested to do the best we can. Even when it means helping those in need at no profit for us.
Oh, how I’d love for you to join us (check out https://t.co/MovU68uePU) and get to experience this from the inside.
To see the tremendous impact of a “switch of a button”, like when 50% of the world websites got free SSL overnight, or helping secure at-risk organizations for free under Project Galileo (https://t.co/DK0SgMHPLY). Or even giving aways dozens of free features for all customers (including those on free plans), during the recent #BirthdayWeek innovation week we’ve just had (https://t.co/nZzu4cgYcY).
Also, we help the Internet stay safe and your websites protected even against the world’s largest DDoS attacks, by mitigating them automatically, again for all plans, including free customers (https://t.co/ENGXlPCoWq) and we fight the trolls that try to hinder technological advancements (https://t.co/qAKGIs6hj2).
While doing all of the above, and many more, we may make mistakes. We may respond later than expected to a social media inquiry or a support ticket, but our heart is poured into all we deliver, and I can see this day by day, as I interact with most teams at Cloudflare.
You can also be in one of these teams, helping build a better Internet. Join us today, we’re actively hiring across all locations.
I can’t think of a better place to find myself in, to have the biggest impact in how the Internet will be in the next 20 years.
Did you know that Cloudflare R2 does *not* charge for unauthorized access to your object storage buckets?
Plus: buckets are private by default, TLS certs are issued as wildcards so that names can’t be discovered via CT logs, and egress via R2’s APIs is still free 😉
