@observinthecity We've actually heard otherwise. Up to $300 million not $700 million. But we appreciate different people hear hear various things so it's understandable there can be different opinions floating around. Maybe it will be in a future @Metrolinx report.

@ColleenMacD@ColinDMello The @TRCA_HQ would disagree with you and they are the professional experts. This is a new announcement as it's the Province's share of funding. The City and feds have already provided theirs.
@BEYLiberals@RichardCityNews Would it be of interest to you that your federal cousins also funded this by providing their share? Want the link? Just like Brampton residents funded the Port Lands flood protection near your riding.
@MoreTransitSO@EricDLombardi@alexbozikovic The challenge with the Richmond Hill line is that it's not owned by GO. Sure, additional tracks and a rail over rail grade separation could be added, but there would be a significant cost. This reality sometimes not acknowledged when people talk about these stations.
We should probably take “transit to tourism destinations” more seriously in Ontario. Large ridership potential + great for the economy, especially with many young people going car-free.
Some ideas:
- TOR-Collingwood
- Hourly TOR-Niagara
- London-Niagara
Under the leadership of @Fordnation, our government has a plan to deliver faster, two-way, all day GO service on the Milton corridor. We urge the federal government to be a full funding partner on this mission.
