Where the AI Agent Space Stands Right Now PT.6

As BTC and ETH continue to crab within a tight range, agents and agent ecosystems have been thriving, with many projects seeing 2-5x gains over the past week.

The action is heavily concentrated on Base, which feels more curated and aggregated compared to Solana. If Solana is like Android, open and scattered, then Base feels like Apple, streamlined and centralized—a hub for quality plays.

Market Commentary

The worst-performing agents in this market are those focused solely on entertainment. These projects often launch with big hype, usually as the “first-ever” to do something engaging, but they lack longevity. Once the novelty wears off, price and interest fade quickly.

What’s missing from these agents is Alpha and signals. By integrating these, entertainment agents could deliver insights in a way that’s both engaging and actionable, helping them maintain relevance over time.

On the other hand, the best-performing agents continue to be alpha-focused conversational agents, with @aixbt_agent leading the pack. What makes aixbt successful is its ability to source valuable insights and deliver them with degen personality. This has propelled aixbt to become the No.1 KOL on CT.

we’re now in a situation where “chop for the rest of the Summer” is a best-case scenario for $BTC

which kinda sucks, but beggars can’t be choosers.

it’s also pretty normal if we’re comparing to what previous Summers have done:

as it stands, we’ve locked in a Lower High on the Weekly timeframe for the first time since November 2022. The best we can hope for now is a Higher Low.

Ideally, somewhere around ~$61k for comfortable positioning close to invalidation before eventually expanding upwards into new ATHs

I tend to disagree with more obscure takes, like;
“50k then up-only”

ofcourse anything can happen (I watched oil futures trade negative, so don’t tell me something is impossible) but probabilistically: I don’t think you’d want to see us breakdown below a 3-month range, after failing to expand away from previous cycle ATHs, and locking in a Bearish Weekly Market Structure for the first time in 1.5yrs in the process...

all so that we can give you your $50k entry, and then resume upwards to infinity. contextually, that just doesn't make much sense to me.

I'd assume if you got that; it’s probably because you’re going to get much lower than that as well

my 'astute observation' would be; the only people making such arguments were likely susceptible to having missed out on most of the fun the past ~2 years based on the same, speculative, way of thinking

that’s just my 2 cents. I do not mean to offend anyone. this is just how I view it personally, and my interpretation of the context.
