And it is easy to extend LONG to all other post viral or post infection or post trauma CHRONIC extensions of morbidity. Myself I have:
#LongEBV since 010617
#LongChik-V Oct 2014
#LongCovid March 2020
#LongOmicron Jan 2023
#LongFLiRT July 2024
I also have a Severe Progressive Myalgic Encephalomyelitis that followed that EBV outburst on June 17, 2001. And that #ME with PEMs has been getting "worser n worser"
so I'm afraid I'll die from that: when I suffocate from the more n more frequent GASPS FOR AIR which begun after that Omicron in January 2023 from thrice a week to 3x an hour, sometimes. After the FLiRT in July 2024 the gaps became wider and voiced! The old doctor in the LTR said "I don't know what it is" and the new one #doesn't have time for you". He added " ...today" which didn't change the facts. He however diagnosed my WEAKNESS as "Functional Quadriplegia" which is one of the best things that happened to me since Dr Frederick M. sent me to twenty other specialists (he was my Oncologist and General) to diagnose me a few months after that June 17, 2001 with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome ONS (Otherwise Not Specified). My busy new doctor, almost running, renewed my prescription for Oxycodone 3x30mg/pd when he found out I was without for SEVEN YEARS. I will finish my rambling so: in my diary on that day of June 17, 2001 I described a "flu" with very low temperatures and wrote: "SOMETHING HORRIBLE IS HAPPENING WITH ME". That flu within a week or so was followed with a monstrous MONONUCLEOSIS for several months! In October 2001 after spending most of the two years in Doctors offices after BC surgeries chemotherapy and radiation after September 11 - I flee or flew to Central America following my wonderful Guide LET'S GO. New chapter in my life. Now I am too ill
& too disabled to do the same, while the times too call for a BIG escape. I just finished 75y.
With my onset of #longviral #EpsteinBarr at age 12 some 45yrs ago, I can say at no stage or age of this disease are there any real supports within any #healthcare system in any country. This must stop #LongCovidKids #longcovid #ebv #longebv #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis #myalgicE
Today my son got home from the hospital (PFT) & told me he was sick of #LongCovid & asked me what the point of life is..
@FineFail & @FineGael provided NO SERVICES for #LongCovidKids.
I can only think that they believe my son has fewer rights than adults, the right to healthcare.

@healingfromlc depends. if we later find out, that treatment of the syndrome is specific to the cause (e.g. specific virus), i think different names like #LongCovid or #LongEBV will maybe stick.
