@polysophical According to Hyrum Andrus, Joseph Smith said that the Council in Heaven was held on Kolob.
I don’t know his source, but he’s generally a fairly good source on things.
@GoWithJordan_ Mostly De Decretis covers what’s wrong with Arianism, which we don’t accept anyway.
He brings up the main problem of essence not being talked about in scripture, but pretty much says you have to read into it to understand scriptures are talking about essence.
@Salt_n_Smoke Well, there was a time people thought it was Min, but then people realized that penises don’t grow out of people’s chest, and that he didn’t have the right headdress as Min. So that’s been debunked.
@DavoustBaldPate@Primary_Pianist I wholeheartedly believe Christ is our brother. He said so himself as recorded in the Bible.
I wholeheartedly believe he is eternal, which is taught in the Bible, Book of Mormon, and the Doctrine and Covenants.
This is what our Church teaches. Your post is contradicting nothing
@DavoustBaldPate@Primary_Pianist The Book of Abraham doesn’t talk about any beings being created.
John 20:17
Jesus refers to Heavenly Father as both our father and his father. Christ being our brother is a biblical teaching.
@snuffybodacious@rebecca09478433@JasminRappleye What are you referencing? Everything I’ve seen indicates otherwise.
I think it’s a reach to suggest it’s somewhere other than North America, but you’re still disregarding Zelph, plains of the Nephites, bones of the Jaredites, D+C scriptures on Lamanite descendants, and borders.
@snuffybodacious@rebecca09478433@JasminRappleye He was editor of the T&S but was often in hiding during that time. There’s nothing showing him as the author of the article.
And even if that’s all you have, the amount of statements he’s made about parts the heartland, the D&C verses, and “this land” BoM verse outnumbers it.
The giveaway on Instagram is over, but I’m going to giveaway a bottle here on X to someone who likes and retweets this! (But you have to be located in the US to win)
“Kamehameha” is inspired by the warrior King Kamehameha I who united the Hawaiian islands
@DavoustBaldPate@Jacob1832Jacob Whether they are ours or not is irrelevant. You have no rebuttal for my statement.
Centuries ago, before the invention of the Trinity, the pre-mortal existence was taught as truth by Christians.
You have no response.
