Every business has a website and bank account. How will web3 change and add to this status quo?

I predict that at some point in the not-so-far future, every business will be connected to a chain via a mixture of wallet and validium technologies.

Business will use web3 wallets. We are already seeing this with exchanges and crypto-native business. Exchanges need to connect to most chains. Businesses with globally-distributed teams need to pay employees with different banking systems. Making web3 banking easier for business is key, be it via account abstraction like 4337 and @safe, or via MPC wallets like @FireblocksHQ and @mpcvault.

Validiums offer additional security. Having core business logic be verified, via zk validity proofs, by a base layer is like continuous audits--users get the peace of mind that the business cannot deviate from what they have committed to do. FTX and Celsius disasters can be avoided if they are built as validiums. With the recent advances of LLVM-compatible zkVMs (such as @RiscZero, SP1 by @SuccinctLabs, @valida_vm, @DelphinusLab, @NexusLabsHQ, and others), the barrier and cost to operate a validium is decreasing, while the cost of inaction remains high.

What about rollups? Deploying as a rollup means giving up privacy and putting up all data for public scrutiny. That is simply incompatible with many privacy regulation that every Web2 website is already subjected to. However, I do believe rollups are the correct move for certain crypto-native communities. Good examples here include @Rarichain, @ourZero, and Redstone by @latticexyz.
