Based on a survey of 6,500 tech professionals, these are the top 5 tools people value most:
1. @Linear — Participants love Linear’s user experience, its match to their workflows, and its relative simplicity and focus compared with Jira.
2. @cursor_ai — Cursor is rising at an astonishing pace. Over 20% of engineers in our survey are already relying on Cursor (and 17% of respondents overall), and it was chosen above most other legacy coding tools like JetBrains, IntelliJ, and even Xcode.
3. @SlackHQ — At a time when people are telling us that communication is becoming increasingly important, Slack is where work happens.
4. @NotionHQ — There’s a new guard of modern tools. Notion stands out as representing a new breed of tools prioritizing collaboration, intuitive design, and the flexibility to accomplish a range of jobs, from docs to project management to CRM.
5. @perplexity_ai — Perplexity making the top 5, in addition to ChatGPT’s and Claude’s popularity, tells us something important: AI tools aren’t just shiny toys anymore—they're transforming people’s workflows, replacing well-established tools (e.g. Google), and becoming essential to the workday.
@HarryStebbings@mark_goldberger Totally - AEs should own pipe generation. It’s not just marketing or sales dev. The best AEs are consistently prospecting and multi-threading across their accounts. % of time varies on sales cycle and segment but this is a good ball park.
Today I’m incredibly excited to announce Unify’s $12M Series A led by Emergence and Thrive with particpation from OpenAI.
We started Unify 631 days ago with the mission to be the best platform for revenue teams to power creative, thoughtful and delightful interactions with their customers.
Our core thesis is that the way revenue teams interact with data is broken.
Rich data valuable for revenue teams exists in many silos today and while the modern data stack promised to break down these silos, few teams are succeeding. Our data graph is the brain for AI to make human-quality decisions on top of.
We’ve quickly grown to 7-figures of annualized revenue, and have grown revenue 39x year-over-year.
A special thank you to some of our early customers…

Notion is a freaking insane story.
This is a company that has been profitable for years.
It never needed to raise a dollar that it raised.
And it has never had as much cash in the bank as it does today.

I recently had the opportunity to speak to a room full of AI founders about building their go-to-market strategies, alongside some incredible women - @KillCreek (CRO, @TrustVanta) @kimmgraves (Head of Sales Americas, @NotionHQ) and @vivfaga (GP, @felicis).
Here are the key takeaways:
- Harness AI to boost your productivity: Use it as an assistant for crafting emails, conducting research, and prepping for meetings. No excuses for a bad cold email.
- Hire your first salesperson only after you've nailed a repeatable success formula. Your initial hire shouldn't be a Head of Sales.
- Invest time in educating your customers, especially crucial for PLG founders. It's not just about getting signups; it's about keeping users coming back.
- Selling an AI product isn't all that different from non-AI products. It boils down to the basics of sales: discovering needs, demonstrating value, and solving pain points.
- Stand out by helping companies craft their AI strategy. Since AI became widely accessible in December 2022, there's a huge opportunity to lead by sharing your AI expertise.
I love this advice from @molly_g on how to take time off and use it well. After doing it myself this year, I could not agree more with her reflection.
