@My116Dreams My favorite new application is Nearpod. The ability to voice narrate instruction as well as to embed multiple other platforms into it make it my go to instructional resource. Check out my Vlog on it!!https://t.co/LMRMPy29OA

@MrsWarren182 My district fully supports the use of integration of these applications, however I have been leery to add social media as a Web 2.0 tool, but after learning more about the ways it can promote collaboration and engagement defin something I will try. #wuedt6020
@sowilmu I find this extremely challenging. I try to find activities or games like Kahoot,, Quizziz or Quizlet to keep virtual students engaged along with in person learners. Flippity is a great way to randomize choosing students for responses as well. #wuedt6020
@ShineBrightKR@MayBlan27 That's a great idea incorporating team building. What types of activities do you do? I know when we were in person there were a variety of activities we would do.
@NatalieTucci2@MayBlan27 The lunch bunch ideas sounds fantastic!! I agree, we need to make it a bit fun and get to them on a personal level to build a rapport and then hopefully they will feel compelled to be more engaged.
@AshleyDills1 I know Ashley, the students love Nearpod. I like the ease of using and the ability to voice record individual slides, embed videos, and create assessments directly within the application. This has definitely been a game changer.
@PleasantonSean@McCoolWILMu You would love Nearpod. You can upload your already made google slides and individually voice narrate on each slide. Super easy to upload videos and make formative assessments within the application! #wuedt6020
@PleasantonSean@McCoolWILMu Collaboration is essential!! I enjoy seeing how others use instructional technology and get many tips on how to make it more beneficial to my classroom. #wuedt6020
@AshleyDills1 Yes, Nearpod has been a game changer. So easy to use, voice narrating instruction without doing a full screen cast is amazing. Also, being able to build in assessments along the way saves time from creating separate ones. #wuedt6020
@AshleyDills1@ms_maxwell181@PoliteTommie This sounds like an awesome idea Ashley!! Lets try to find a way to incorporate TikTok. The students would love that and it would keep them engaged!! #wuedt6020
@PleasantonSean@esl2converse@McCoolWILMu Sean, I love YouTube!! It has saved me so much time from creating my own dental videos. And they are easily uploaded to Edpuzzle to assign to my classes and to embed formative questions within the video. #wuedt6020
The best advice with educ. tech is to first know your class, find an app that allows for you to deliver content, students to listen or watch over and over, and includes assessments. Master that app before just adding random apps that may not be beneficial. Ask for help! wuedt6020
@PleasantonSean@SarahQJ I have stopped letting late students into the Teams meeting and trying to mark them late to class. If they miss part of lecture, I have voice recorded content on Nearpod slides that they can listen to as many times as needed. They seem to love Nearpod! #wuedt6020
@KellyLWhaley1 This is my struggle too. We are not allowed to require camera's to be on, so I try to use a Flippity random wheel to select students to respond to questions. #wuedt6020
The biggest challenge during remote learning is transforming a hands-on program into a fully virtual learning process. To overcome this I have used Youtube, Edpuzzles, & Nearpod to keep students engaged in the learning process. #wuedt6020
@MarissaHamory After being thrown into virtual teaching, I have tried to find creative ways to assess learning. I recommend trying Flipgrid, it's great to have students record their responses.
@AshleyDills1@piktochart eLearning has definitely bridged the gap and allowed for sharing of information. It has forced us to think outside the box and find creative ways to engage and motivate our students. Great piktochart!!
