Samir Menon @blintzbase and I are thrilled to announce Sail @sailresearchco ! We build infrastructure for long-horizon agents: inference served at unbeatable prices-per-token for open models, plus sandboxes designed to run for days, weeks, or longer.
We've raised $80M, w/ our seed led by @Sequoia
and series A led by @KleinerPerkins. We're using this capital to build the most efficient infrastructure for long-horizon agents.
What makes agents so different? Unlike a human waiting at a keyboard (top priority: speed), agents need scale, reliability, and sustainable cost. Sail finds this efficiency everywhere in the stack: we carefully choose our chips, write custom inference engines, and run a global controller that fully utilizes every computer in our fleet. Tight integration from silicon to API lets Sail open up the cost / latency frontier to our customers - the most patient agents can now access 10x more intelligence per dollar.
We're excited to be working with great companies like
@parallelweb, @detaildotdev,@Jackandjillai, and @quadrillion_ai to deploy long-horizon agents with trillions of tokens.
Our team is thoughtful in our engineering craft and relentlessly ambitious in our pursuit of peak performance. We previously trained at companies like NVIDIA, OpenAI, Google, and so many trading firms. Now we're ready to do the work that will define our careers, in the most compute intensive market of all time.
Welcome to the era of abundant intelligence. We can't wait to build with you!
This is a great read on post-training and open models.
@harvey & @trajectorylabs post-trained Nemotron 3 Super on complex legal tasks with some very impressive initial results. All with auditable weights, real security, and clear provenance.
Today, @MichaelElabd, @QuantumArjun, and I are excited to announce Trajectory.
We are a research lab and product company building the platform for Continual Learning.
Our platform unlocks the signal already sitting in product usage, so companies can continuously post-train large-scale agentic models that outperform the frontier. @trajectorylabs
We’ve raised $15M from @Conviction, @BessemerVP, @radicalvcfund, @jeffdean, @drfeifei and more.
We’re partnering with some of the best AI-native companies: @ClayRunHQ@Harvey, @DecagonAI, @mercor_ai, @RogoAI to power their agentic systems, some of which we are already in production with.
We’ve brought together a world class research team from DeepMind, OpenAI, Apple, Meta Superintelligence, Amazon AGI, Scale AI, and an elite product team from Stripe and Figma.
AI will never again start on day one. Every correction, every retry, every edit will make products smarter. This is Continual Learning.
@Restructuring__ Great deal for thrive and a16z but also shows just how hard it’s going to be for the mega-platforms that aren’t in the labs or the select few (like a cursor) to produce DPI
@omarsar0 Going to be huge for app layer companies to start leveraging these for customers. I’d imagine ACVs are main constraint in the short term for which customers you leverage this for tonbukd a really personalized product
@wallstengine Would be interesting to see the potential attrition they could’ve avoided from Deepmind if they kept pushing the boundaries much earlier vs. playing catch up here
@0xAndros I do wonder if an AI-native company can break out as quickly here as opposed to some other app layer cos where distribution is a lot easier to unlock. It seems like the 4 industries have less concentration and whales to go after and are heavily segmented
Early last year I had the privilege of leading @noondesign’s initial round of financing and partnering with two founders looking to tackle one of the most ambitious problems in product design. What started as an investment quickly turned into a much deeper collaboration. I'm excited to share that I joined the Noon team last year to build alongside @bandiaditya , @kushagrasinha7 and the incredible team they’ve assembled.
Product designers today are caught between a canvas and code. Design lives in one place, production code lives in another. Everything in between is translation and that’s where things break.
Noon is the first design tool rebuilt from the ground up that works entirely on your product code, so you can design how it looks and how it works. With AI that works in seconds, not minutes.
We’ve quietly been working with a number of leading designers and are excited to open up access soon. If you’re a designer, or know a designer that wants to get early access, we can’t wait to show you what we’re up to.
Grateful to @chemistry@firstround@ScribbleVC@AforeVC@svangel@soleio@joulee@iansilber@lil_dill@johnnie and the many others who believed in us early.
