Join me on Monday morning biking to downtown with a group of riders from 4 locations across the city starting at 7:30am, ending with coffee, doughnuts, and @LouisvilleMayor. It’s fun and safe to bike together! Use these maps and meet up at the start, or along the way. @502twinz2
Main Remade should mimic designs below, or we as a city have failed. A slow street not for getting quickly in/out of downtown — other roads do that. No traffic lights unless they are for BRT — all way stops instead. Protected bike lanes. Wider sidewalks. No center turn lanes!
@Joe_Gerth Its not realistic to expect sensible urban policy decisions from a 400 square mile area containing hundreds of thousands pf people with mostly anti-urban values. At best, policy will get watered down, but more often the things we need to do for a better city will get blocked
