@Mtnbiker15@jburnmurdoch I had never felt full until these meds - now I understand that it's not just a social convention of when you think it would be perceived as gluttony, some people actually feel full!
@alistrathern As everyone else is predictably moaning I will come out and say it - giving the richest cohort of people more money isn't good fiscal responsibility. This is a sensible decision, and small fry compared to what is needed to redress the financial burden between young and old
@DanNeidle WTF Lib Dems?! Do you think there is any real mechanism to directly attribute spending to a tax rise? E.g. Reeves says 'we are raising higher rate tax band by 0.25% and this will directly fund a pay rise for NHS staff bands 6 and below', is there anything to bind this?
@Samfr 25 mins from the house and it feels like a holiday. If you can ditch the kids then the spa is really nice. Been to 'similar' places cost about 2/3 as much and they had bouncers on the swimming pool at 11am. Sanitised, safe and convenient is the premium
@glove931 Mine is only horrific things interspersed with that french pole vaulter knocking off the bar with his todger. More mildly amusing sporting moments, less fascism please!
Finished @Samfr's excellent book Failed State and experienced it in microcosm today. Offered a job, need a ltd company, Companies House currently have a 3 week backlog due to staff cuts instead of 2 day target, a loss of 2.5 weeks of productivity... Frustrating
EXCL: Kemi Badenoch asked officials to pay for holiday flight to United States with taxpayers’ money while in government but was rebuffed by former department’s top civil servant 👇🏼 https://t.co/LVrR7KRJMR
