Congratulations to Motif Neurotech on receiving FDA approval to begin a feasibility trial for their brain implant for treatment-resistant depression!
@motifneuro was part of the 2023 One Mind Accelerator cohort, and watching them reach this milestone is exactly why we do this work. Founded by @JTRobinsonLab, the team has pioneered a remarkable approach: a blueberry-sized device implanted in the skull that delivers targeted brain stimulation, activated simply by wearing a hat. It's the kind of innovation that sounds like science fiction until it isn't.
Treatment-resistant depression affects millions of people who have exhausted conventional options. Motif is working to change that, and today, they're one important step closer.

MEET THE 2026 COHORT: Vitalic Health
Vitalic Health is a senior-focused behavioral health solution that provides Medicare Advantage plans & at-risk providers with much-needed engagement & access to geriatric-informed clinical behavioral healthcare for members with polychronic conditions & untreated behavioral health issues.
Data has shown for years that untreated behavioral health exacerbates the costs associated with managing these members as they are 3x more expensive than members without behavioral conditions, and a Medicare Advantage plan’s existing network lacks the ability to outreach & engage these members proactively.
Vitalic’s model of care is an 8-12 week episode of care provided virtually by a multidisciplinary team consisting of a consulting geriatric psychiatrist, nurse practitioner, mid-level therapist and coach. In addition to improving the member’s behavioral health scores & member satisfaction, Vitalic’s promise to the Medicare Advantage plan/at-risk provider is to also show clear reduction in unnecessary utilization of services including emergency department visits & inpatient stays.

MEET THE 2026 COHORT: SocialRx
SocialRx (formerly Art Pharmacy) is a health technology company advancing social prescribing to address loneliness, mental health, & social isolation at scale. As rates of depression, anxiety, & disconnection continue to rise, traditional clinical models alone are insufficient to meet growing demand. SocialRx complements clinical care by connecting individuals to community-based arts, culture, & nature experiences that improve whole-person health.
Through partnerships with health plans, health systems, employers, and universities, SocialRx delivers structured programs that combine a scalable technology platform with human-centered care navigation. Participants are matched to culturally relevant, interest-driven activities in their communities through a national network of trusted local partners. The model is designed to be measurable, cost-effective, & adaptable across populations, geographies, & use cases.
SocialRx has paying marquee customers across multiple sectors & is generating growing evidence of impact, including reductions in loneliness, improvements in mental health outcomes, decreases in avoidable emergency department visits, & increased engagement with care and community resources. Outcomes measurement is embedded into program delivery, enabling partners to track impact, quality, & return on investment.
Founded on the belief that health is shaped as much by social connection as by medical care, SocialRx is building the infrastructure to integrate social connection into care pathways across the United States. By bridging healthcare & community, the company aims to redefine how mental health support is delivered & scaled, creating a more connected, preventive, & human-centered system of care.

MEET THE 2026 COHORT: @OrbitNeuro
Orbit is building the most sophisticated models of cognitive states and conditions, enabling precision mental healthcare. State of the art diagnostic and efficacy metrics in mental health all rely on episodic, subjective self reporting, introducing noise, recall bias, and muddled variables in clinical trials and early stage research.
Little to no progress has been made around biomarker development due to hardware bottlenecks. High-resolution imaging methods (e.g. fMRI, PET, ECoG, MEG) are unscalable and scalable methods (e.g. EEG) are low resolution and noisy.
Orbit is collecting unprecedentedly rich neural data-sets, enabled by their novel brain wearable which can achieve fMRI-comparable resolution at scale. This proprietary data collection moat will fuel Orbit’s foundation models.
The founding team boasts executives from @BlackrockNeuro_, Fitbit (@MadeByGoogle), & senior staff from @Meta AR Glasses, @Google & @livanova. Orbit is backed by founders & executives from @huggingface, @StabilityAI, @Apple, @Microsoft & @Dropbox.

MEET THE 2026 COHORT: Nosis Health
@NosisHealth is a digital health company reimagining substance use care as whole-person, long-term health—not short-term crisis management.
Traditional treatment focuses on stopping use, often ignoring the biological disruption substance use causes to the brain and body, from metabolism and hormones to sleep, inflammation, & cognition. When biology is overlooked, recovery rests on a fragile foundation.
Nosis treats substance use disorder as a chronic condition affecting both mind and body, delivering individualized, longitudinal care that combines addiction medicine, advanced diagnostics, therapy, coaching, & personalized lifestyle interventions. The model addresses the biological & psychological drivers of use together & adapts as members progress.
The goal isn’t just sobriety—it’s cognitive clarity, physical resilience, reduced long-term disease risk, & renewed capacity to fully engage in life. Substance use affects the whole person. Care should too.

MEET THE 2026 COHORT: Neurofundus
Neurofundus is building a foundation model for precision psychiatry, powered by deep multimodal patient biology & generative AI.
Psychiatric medicine is at a breaking point, affecting over 1.2 billion people globally and costing more than $5 trillion each year. Patients often endure years of trial-and-error treatment, limited therapeutic options, and little biological guidance—constraints that have also slowed the development of new psychiatric drugs.
Neurofundus is partnering with @amsterdamumc to access a longitudinal cohort of 3000 patients suffering from major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder to generate trillions of molecular observations across thousands of patients.
This will fuel an expert foundation model to subtype disease, optimize treatment, and accelerate drug discovery. From a GPT-like chat for physicians and researchers to API-driven platforms for pharma, research institutes, and biotech, Neurofundus is ushering in the era of precision psychiatry at scale.
