Now that it’s June, excited to share that I’ll be spending the summer in Norman at the Storm Prediction Center! My Lapenta internship project will focus on building a new gridded fire index as well as shadowing fire & severe mets on Ops floor.
Skeptical of this, but potentially worth reviewing. Around 8:30-8:38pm looking from North Platte north (between Ringgold and Stapleton). Would think scud but it held a funnel-like shape the entire time. @NWSNorthPlatte@packie7b
Today, newly-graduated meteorologist @willcanowx chased cells across the barren terrain of western Kansas and eastern Colorado.
The most impressive part? Perhaps the mighty rain shafts dancing across expansive dirt fields. Or maybe the creamsicle sunset fused with a purple lightning show to the east.
Success in storm chasing is not solely defined by catching a tornado. It’s measured through many different modes — occasionally, by straight simplicity.
I’m honored to announce that I’ll be joining the Alabama Weather Network team in early June as a full-time meteorologist in Birmingham! Working alongside James Spann and such an innovative team is truly surreal. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way!! #alabama
Welcome home Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy! 🫶
The Artemis II astronauts have splashed down at 8:07pm ET (0007 UTC April 11), bringing their historic 10-day mission around the Moon to an end.
We see our home planet as a whole, lit up in spectacular blues and browns. A green aurora even lights up the atmosphere. That's us, together, watching as our astronauts make their journey to the Moon.
Forty-nine words to destroy a dream.
I wish this was an April Fool's joke.
A week away from launching my flagship project (https://t.co/fSpH3LJe4X). A meeting scheduled tomorrow with my first web client, a local contractor who does great work who needs a better web presence.
Things I worked myself so hard on I was hospitalized for five days for stress and entering a hypertensive crisis, after vibe coding/legacy coding for 16-18 hours a day for three months straight.
The lack of ways to get answers, other than filling out a Google form and hoping someone replies, is definitely not helping the blood pressure.
It's an odd feeling. I feel betrayed by @claudeai/@AnthropicAI. I've helped hundreds of people learn the ways of agentic coding, and know of at least 10 people who signed up for paid accounts for Claude Code because of me. I've personally dropped thousands of dollars into API costs and subscription fees. My nickname got changed to Anthroprophet in one Discord server.
Yet, they will torpedo me with a single e-mail with no clarification as to what actually happened.
As far as I can tell, the only 3 things that may have caused this are me using an agent to crawl through my my various emails and pull all the receipts to help me get a handle on cost tracking. This was a thousand or so e-mails, perhaps I tripped a security filter.
I was also vulnerable with Claude browser, discussing my ongoing imposter syndrome, my history of anxiety and depression, and how they related to my work ethic today.
Or, and I think this is the likely one, their filters picked up 'violence' from my users on Questwright playing Dungeons and Dragons and the other TTRPG systems I have available.
The problem is not knowing which. Where did I go wrong? I've read their usage terms a dozen times, even before this incident, and many more times after, and those three are the only things I can think of where I might've tripped up.
The less gracious part of me wonders if it's because I was likely in the higher end of power users, using 90-95% of my Max20 weekly limit every week.
And I'm not alone here. Search reddit, search the Claude discord, and you'll see hundreds of posts and messages like this.
The question becomes then, as much as I adore and have talked up Claude Code, how can someone be able to trust Anthropic as the backbone of projects in the future if they can simply end it all with an email with less than fifty words?
In the end, this will be a temporary roadblock for Questwright, and my company as a whole. I've already began the pivot to using OpenAI and Google to be able to continue. Still, a heartbreaking one. Quite literally in this case, according to my blood pressure cuff.
And, this is probably the smallest bit but it's actually getting to me, I'm really sad I won't get to use /buddy. I loved Tamagotchi.
YouTube video of Sunday’s chase is up, link in bio. Intercepted what felt like a dozen separate cells in Clearfield County. Hitting the ground running with the 2026 Northeast storm season!
