Happy to see our latest work published. It was a great collaboration with @ChenLabNeuro@LeiTian14 labs @BU_Biology Many thanks to @vpieribone and Jerry for support and mentorship, and all the authors (most Tweeterless) for their amazing work
A suite of tools including positive-going voltage indicators, a high-speed 2-photon microscope and denoising software enables prolonged imaging of electrical activity in neurons with limited toxicity.

Exciting to see iGABASnFR2 (an improved genetically encoded "sniffer" of GABA) published in eLife! Congrats to all the authors for all the hard work over the years!

@janeliagenie@LoogerL@korfffly@KeisukeYonehara and everyone else!
Just posted the 3.1.8 update. Let me know if you find any bugs. It opens in inline feature mode. If you prefer compact mode or if you are opening large sequence files, you can turn off inline mode in Preferences (aka Settings).
Hao’s work "NeuPh: a scalable, robust, and generalizable neural phase retrieval method". By integrating a coordinate-based training strategy, NeuPh enables continuous-domain, resolution-enhanced phase reconstruction with improved scalability and accuracy.

Really important work for anyone doing GECI imaging! The team did a super thorough job showing that adding the RSET sequence (thought to be inconsequential!) to the sensor actually improved the brightness of jGCaMP8 in flies. Just goes to show that the devil is in the details! 👿
🚨🚨Pre-print alert 🚨🚨 Led by @IbrahimOladepo: a computer-vision guided robotic commutator that can track mice & correct for animal heading direction changes. Simple to implement. Can be added to any existing commutator https://t.co/1ZKGcHiVtG
Our new sensor for the neuropeptide #nociceptin is now out in @NatureComms Fantastic teamwork with the @mbruchas lab and many other super collabs! Very proud of our student Xuehan for her PhD work! Check it out: https://t.co/MmtyPfqN92

I just cancelled my Adobe licence after many years as a customer.
The new terms give Adobe "worldwide royalty-free licence to reproduce, display, distribute" or do whatever they want with any content I produce using their software.
This is beyond insane. No creator in their right mind can accept this .
You pay a huge monthly subscription and they want to own your content and your entire business as well.
Going to have to learn some new tools.
And it was a true pleasure organizing this event with you! Many thanks for your invaluable contribution! Multidisciplinarity is always the best approach 😊
#Wegrowtogether is indeed what Regional Symposium of Young Endocrinologist is about! As a LOC we have enjoyed every minute of it and we look forward to meeting you all in Mostar!
Here's a nice summary of our recent preprint on how to do 2P voltage imaging with FRET-opsin voltage indicators. It turns out you need to populate a photocycle intermediate state to see voltage sensitivity!
I was invited to write a News&Views article on an new paper from Andre Berndt’s lab and the use of machine learning techniques in developing calcium (and other) sensors. Personally, I loved that they used our @janeliagenie dataset from GCaMP6 and 7 days. https://t.co/LPojxRg55h
We are recruiting for an open Postdoc position. Interested in developing molecular tools? Our research is at the intersection of neuroscience, biochemistry, and biophysics. Please spread the word. Reach out via email if interested!
