Mission 2030: Powering Maharashtra’s Next Growth Centres

Chaired a meeting to review the implementation of the 'Viksit Maharashtra Vision 2047' with the Vision Management Regulatory Board.

The period between 2026 and 2030 is vital for both the state and the nation. Strategic decision-making, coupled with effective implementation during this phase, can position Maharashtra not only as a leading economy but also among the frontrunners in per capita income. With this objective, directed all departments to prioritise clearly defined, measurable targets over the next four years, culminating in 2030, to ensure the effective implementation of the ambitious ‘Viksit Maharashtra 2047’ vision.

A vision can only translate into real progress when backed by a clear and actionable implementation strategy. To ensure this, a dedicated “Vision Management Unit” has been established, with in-depth consultations undertaken across departments to define clear, achievable targets for 2030.

For Maharashtra’s holistic development, it is essential to accelerate growth in advanced districts through the adoption of new technologies, while also unlocking the vast development potential of the remaining districts through focused and large-scale interventions. The action plans prepared by departments must be precise, measurable, and firmly time-bound. With a clear resolve to achieve 100% target fulfilment within the next four years, directed each department to define sharp timelines and robust performance indicators.
