Curious about the seemingly contradictory functions of m6A in R-loops? Check out this comment by @a_abakir & @AlexeyRuzov out in @NatureGenet where they propose a new model for a dual function of m6A in R-loop regulation. https://t.co/UbzrCHtQm8

Preprint alert! 🎉 @C_D_Todd and the team used multi-omic profiling of human and mouse embryonic development to identify a conserved program of epigenetic priming at lineage specific enhancers for all three germ layers within the epiblast.

Finally, we epigenetically profiled a collection of genetically diverse hiPSCs to identify sequence determinants and candidate transcription factors that may be responsible for establishing the primed enhancer state at key enhancers for human neural development.

Very excited to share that our work reconstructing chromothripsis has now been published in @CellGenomics! We reconstructed chromosomes with up to 800 rearrangements on a single allele and queried epigenetic and transcriptomic consequences. Thread below!

Single cell multi-omics (scNMT-seq) showed reduced chromatin accessibility and disrupted nucleosome positioning at ZGA genes. This suggests a novel link between the maternally deposited chromatin remodeller SMARCA5 and transcription initiation in mammalian embryos.

[Reik Lab @ReikLab]

Preprint alert 🎉🐁👩‍🔬🧬! @OanaKubinyecz used Trim Away to deplete SMARCA5 in mouse zygotes and found that in its absence major ZGA is impaired in 2-cell embryos. https://t.co/0FamCGasYf

@AndrewWoodLab @ikafetzo It was a pleasure to have you visit us! Thank you for sharing lots of interesting insights about degron mouse models. Greetings from Cambridge!

In our latest publication, we recapitulated features of early human #development and characterised the #epigenetic landscape of naive and primed hPSCs in vitro. We found that X chromosome erosion is reversed by resetting and subsequent hPSCs capacitation: https://t.co/6xtIltKWBX

@RBerrens @wellcometrust @UniofOxford Congratulations Rebecca! 🎉👏

Excited for the pre-print of our latest work to go public! In this study, we discovered that DNA damage tolerance is required for mammalian primordial germ cell DNA demethylation and development https://t.co/gOHAtbXaLn
